Hello, I also stumbled upon this shrine when I was walking around Shibuya several years ago. I'm returning and would like to find it again. Do you remember what street you were on?
Kusunoki come on Seelsorger. this is travelblog.org, not youtube or teenforums-whatever. This is a place for people who just want to relaxingly look at places to go for a holiday or look at other peoples holiday because their lives are so screwed up this is the most we can do to get away from it all. Just chill out, and casually read. No need to be so critical. By the way, Kusunoki wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
SRA Savage (just to catch your eye) Hey,
wow you have certainly been a long way from that little doormroom on the third floor at nellis. Anyway I was thinking of old days and plugged your name into google and came up with this. Email me sometime so we can catch up. Later

Where is your web site Hi:
I tried to click on your link for savage travels and all I get is advertising for other travel websites? You can write back to me at lycgirl@yahoo.com
thanks, Lorraine
Not Melakwa! Hi there,
Nice pictures, but that wasn't Lake Melakwa, that was Snow Lake. You can see what it looks like in nice weather at http://community.webshots.com/album/154632793ENQSlI. The first picture is taken from the same location that you took yours.
You can see Lake Melakwa at http://community.webshots.com/album/83139792ggrUJY. It is a very nice hike. You should visit it sometime! Snow and Melakwa are in the same neighborhood. One lake is on one side of Chair Peak, the other lake is on the other side.
Nice Story. Hey man, Nice story u got there!
It's true. airplane food SUCKS! it tastes like barf, and when you eat it, you barf. It even smells like barf. BTW the movie is called Brother Bear. Close enough. Was the layover fun? HA! I had to wait like 7 hours in Canada to go to Japan. That was SO boring. Like you think 3 hours is bad enough...
Anyways, Nice story. Go to japan again and write another one!

Re: Correction You're correct, I obtained some poor information and will correct it right now. Thanks for pointing that out. I did try to find good, correct information, I obviously didn't look hard enough. Wish I could remember where that info came from. Wiki has some good info, I'll use from there.
As far as you being critical of my food preferences... I wouldn't touch Haggis if you paid me. I'm also not big on fried foods... and wouldn't touch a fried Mars Bar or whatever the hell they're making now. I don't like seafood, which I knew would be a problem in Japan, but managed none the less. I also don't like vegatables. And when I say "don't like" it's not that I chose not to eat them due to taste, but the fact that I projectile vomit at the mere smell. Have done since I was a child. Trust me, if I could help it, it would make life MUCH MUCH easier.
correction Kusunoki Masashige was not "...a legendary hero of the Meiji era," as you state but fought against the Ashikaga shogunate over three centuries before the Meiji era. By the way, it strikes me as interesting that someone from the land of haggis and deep fried everything should criticize the food of other nations.
I didn't yell at the pigeons.... but I did chase ;) When we got back form Florence the broken door was fixed... and selotaped to the lock was a little sign outside - "Fixed" - on the inside - "which asshole broke it?", not a translation found in the berlitz... that key was so dam small and the door so damn big... I'll let you off on diminished responsiblity due to jetlag :)
G'day !! G'day Savage :P Looks like you've had a lot of fun during the last couple of months!! Your Jap trip was very interesting, and surely you've been partying/clubbin' a lot during those couple of days :D
I'm planning to go to Japan again with my sister (which will be her very first time visiting the place) at the beginning or mid of January. I don't think I'd like to go with tourist again, they're always in a hurry... I think this time I'd like to travel with friends/family... or alone.
So you can read Chinese ? Or did you use those translation softwares? I don't blog in English very much, even though I think in English but when I blog, I blog in Chinese :P (well it really depends). Thank God I don't do that at work, otherwise my fellow nurses and docs will go crazy (I'm a nurse, nice to meet you!) !! :D :D
Well, that's all from me. Going to Shanghai for Christmas tomorrow, and Beijing for New Year count down. Okee, that's all from me! Merry Christmas and Happy new year! :-)

GPS Dude, you don't log in ANYWHERE do you?? All the info was being displayed on the TV screen when they weren't showing a movie or anything. It kinda sucks, makes the trip seem longer than it really is!
Sounds like you're having fun. Hey Mark,
Sounds like you're having fun over there soaking up all the culture and what not. Be safe, and continue to have fun.
Picutre.. That last picture.. of the sunset. The sun is setting between two water front cranes.. not oil dikes.. this isn't texas or alaska. Those are big cargo moving shipping cranes.. :)
gps? What are you using for the flight airspeed info and what not?
thats a LONG ASS FLIGHT. i am looking at going to sweden and it will be about $900 from seattle (with a stop in amsterdam)... but its also a 12 hour flight (combined).. argg..
nice what a load of bollocks! I have to work while you travel on a bloody whim. bastard! Seriously, I hope you have fun... bring me back some cherry blossoms.
On a whim! The best way to travel ;) Keep your luggage light, take earplugs and keep the eye cover from the plan, you'll be a little jet lagged in Tokyo and will need to catch sleep when you can. Have fun at the premiere!
Hi, my name is Mark, known simply as Savage among my friends. I've lived all across the United States. I'm not currently traveling, but I hope to share one or two rather bland past travels, some future local travels that for some reason I've never done (despite them being on my doorstep... take things for granted sometimes) and eventually my future trek into Central America &/or Europe.
If you're wondering how I came to post on this blog, I'll give you a little background. In 1989 I moved to the US from a sleepy little village called Holt in North Norfolk, England, which is close to a ... full info
