Greetings folks Lisa and I arrived in Bangkok at around 8 PM on Thursday night. Bangkok's new airport, Suvarnabhumi, is an absolute and incomplete shambles and as a result we waited approximately 40 minutes before being checked through customs. Things continued to go well for us when our taxi driver barely spoke a word of English and could not understand the name of the guesthouse I was attempting to direct him to. Eventually we asked one of the many hawkers camped by the side of Soi Rambuttri, the location of our guesthouse, Lamphu House. Bangkok is a bit of a love-hate relationship.
