Greetings Sara Rae: Sounds like you have grown and matured on your voyage. A trip of a life time I believe sums it up. Your parents told me they had a wonderful time visiting you. We can't wait to see you again soon to hear the stories I am sure you have about all of your adventures. Hope you have safe travels.
All the best. Love,
Webby and Julie
Great entry Hi Sara,
What a great entry - you really captured our visit well. We had such a great time; the city is beautiful, and you're right - I really enjoyed the music - I can still hear it. We had snow today, you remember snow don't you? Well, try not to think about that over the next two weeks - we'll see you soon.
Love, Dad
Feeling "Alive"during Day of the dead Hey Sara:) While I am thinking of it the flowers are BIRD OF PARADISE and all tropical places grow them.We have many here in florida and like the colored variety they are also found in white. They are used in tall displays of arrangements of flowers and are very beautiful.I have the "fake"version of them in my gardens and they are more orange and yellow.
I enjoyed as always the comments on the celebration and the costumes for their"Halloween".Have fun with the family and will enjoy reading about their visit.HUGS! Auntie Kay:)
Sorpresa!!!! Hi, Sara!! Katie has a little something to tell ya, but I wouldn't want to be the one telling you her news!! So, ya better email her & ask her "Whazzup?"
¡Tener un rato fabuloso con tu familia!
¡Verte el próximo mes!
:-)
Cindy
'ello! Sara, I cannot believe it is November. And you are at the beach :) You look so amazingly tan. I am jealous! Can I steal some of your sunshine?? Hope these next couple of months don't fly by too fast for you. Keep having fun. Hopefully we'll catch each other on Skype again. Miss you xxx
almost time to come home Hey you are getting closer to coming home..I hope you do well on your classes and you pass so we can all see you again..I love reading all the neat things you are doing there..Take care and know that I and the rest of the family can't wait to see you..Love you lots . Aunt Patti and family
HOLA! =) hola!
i love all your pictures! it looks amazing! and you are super tan! im quite jealous...
but im so excited to see you next week!!! ahhh i can not wait! i keep bragging about it to all my friends haha =)
see you soon! and i love you lots!!!
How very cool you were able to experience the day of the dead! I've always wondered if people actually decorate the gravestones, etc. That seems like such a better way to honor the dead; celebrate their life rather then mourn their death. Anyway, sounds like it was a very cool experience! We miss you here in Winona (especially hearing how warm it is there!) Have fun when your family visits!!!
pictures are gorgeous! hey Miss SaraRae...glad to see your still having an amazing experience, I remember when I went to Germany after my Senior year and how unbelievably fast that went, but just do all you can to soak in every single moment, the memories will last a life time!!
Just thought I'd swing by and see how you're doing, you're pictures are amazing I love the one of you and the giraffe, the zoo's there seem so much more open and exciting then back home. My other favorites are you on the beach.... its beautiful, and that Lion picture, Sara it looks like a painting.... some photographer you are becoming :) hahaha well that is all for now...time for me to get back to reality and start on what seems like an unending amount of homework... love you :)
Hello Hi Sara,
I love reading your blogs, it really makes me want to visit Mexico!! I'm glad you are having such a wonderful time. I agree that October flew by, but unlike you I am very glad:) Only two weeks left until the baby comes:) My last day of work was last night, so that is one less thing to worry about:) Anyway, take care. We miss you!! Katie
El tiempo vuela cuando te estás divirtiendo! Hi Sara!
It's so nice to see a new blog...your mom told me how busy you were, which doesn't surprise me (so much to do, so little time!) It's wonderful to hear of all of your amazing adventures, it sure is a great diversion from the scholastic grindstone that is my present life. :-)
My clinical experiences have been very enlightening. I think that I'm actually learning something! Right now, I'm doing a rotation at Region's Hospital's Behavioral Health unit....very interesting! If you don't hear from me for awhile, it's probably because they've decided I need to stay there as an inpatient. It seems like it might be the right fit!
Hard to believe you'll be coming home within a couple of months. I'm so excited to see you again (and work with you, too!) It's gonna be tough for you though, leaving behind your familia, but at least you will have a permanent link to this era in your life. I can see you planning your next trip down there after graduation!
Your familia back home sure seem excited about going down to visit you. Jenna said she can't wait! (I even saw Ericka & her guy friend when they were up to see Grandma.)
Well, enjoy your remaining time in the sun. See you in the not-too-distant future!
Miss you girl,
Cindy
Time Marches on/"Autumn of your Life" Hey Sara:) I continue to smile at reading the blogs and know you have grown so much since our visit in March.A piece of your heart will remain in Mexico when you leave and you may even return one day.You have your whole life ahead of you and isn't it great that you have had such wonderful experiences! You will always be a Wisc.gal but wherever you go from here......we shall wait and see! In the meantime I send you BIG HUGS!and am looking forward to spending a weekend with your Mom and Grandpa in Puerto Rico and then your family will be there to see you! More hugs and am so delighted to see that smile-you are a beam of "GLOW"Love you-Your Auntie KayXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
hope your feeling better and having fun Hey Sara:
Love all your pictures and great stories of what you are doing over there. Can't wait to see you when you come to Wisconsin for Christmas at Grandma's house...Take care and study and have fun but becareful..............................Love you Aunt Patti
Thinking of you, brave girl! Hello Sara,
I've just finally read your "La Bufa" entry, and marvelled at the pictures, but marvelled much more at your courage, even when you weren't feeling 100%. Having the courage to do this now will be something you'll be able to draw on during any "adventures" that come your way in the future. I hope that by the time you read this you are through with the antibiotic episode, and back to yourself once again. Do you come home before Christmas? So now you are over that half way mark. Such a beautiful place to be. In Wisconsin news, the trees are turning their golds and reds, the geese are flying, we are putting our garden to bed for the winter, and holiday craft fairs have begun! May God keep you in His loving care today! Love you, Aunty Kris
SaraRaee hey darling!! Kels and I were talking about you the other day and it made me miss your smiling face!! Wow It looks like you are having soooo much fun All of your pictures are beautiful, and I mean BEAUTIFUL! wow i can't wait to see you and hear about everything!! Hope you are feeling better stay strong sara rae and continue to learn and have the time of your life!!
Love you!
In Awe Sara,
I am in awe at your bravery at La Bufa. I am so , so afraid of heights that I would need to rename it La Barfa by the time I was through - no kidding I would be deathly ill up that high. It sure is beautiful in the pictures though. Thanks for sharing your experience with us again - I'm glad that you are safe. Love, Dad
Another awesome adventure to add to the Memory book! Hey Sara rae:) Hope you are feeling much better by now! I am so proud and impressed on the rappelling! Now so long ago on one of the big cruise ships they had the "wall Of rocks"and that looked spooky enough!I am sure you will never forget that!Stay well and strong now and more soon!We are planning a BIG Family Reunion for 2009(possibly around the 4th of July)I think we will have you be the storyteller becaAUSE you will have a book filled!!!!!HUGS!Auntie Kay
WOW! Dios Mio! How incredible that you went down the rock like that! I don't know if I could have done it! I'm so sorry you're sick Sara--seriously, your immune system needs a boost or something. :-)
About that book; I'm impressed you read that Spanish. I've read it in english and its kind of complicated with all the magico-realismo. Anyway, theres a movie of it. Didn't we watch that for one of the Spanish movie nights? Anyway, its so good to hear about Mexico! Love you!
So fun to read about your experience! Hi Sara, it's so great to read about your experiences! I feel bad that you were sick, however, it sounds like your on the mend and more good times are in store.....ole! (that's my FULL Spanish vocabulary...ole!) I look forward to reading about your coming weeks......I can't believe that 2 months have already passed. Enjoy the festival. Thinking of you in NR, love Jodi
Beautiful Everything looks so beautiful Sara. I'm so glad you took this adventure. You know I always say I've never met a meal I didn't like, but the chewy part of things have never really appealed to me that much, even though it sounds adventurous. Be safe, be smart. Miss you lots. Dad
Aaaah...horses and mountains, wow! Hi Sara!
Gosh, I envy you your time in Mexico. My days are completely insane what with work and school, and sleep is becoming a precious commodity that I wish was plentiful, but is woefully inadequate! I have a mantra that I repeat daily..."only eight more months" to keep me from going crazy! Be glad you're you and not me (for a LOT more reasons than just school!!!!) So, enjoy your time, be careful around those horses (and the caballeros, too!), and eat a few enchiladas for me!
Miss you lots, Cindy
drool! Sara, you have amaaaazing food. I'm so jealous. Fish and chips are really not that cool anymore. I really love the photos in this blog, especially the one of you wearing a sombrero and waving a Mexican flag "to look more Mexican" - hahaha. And the nightclub looks like so much fun - is that girl in the middle...you!?? ;)
I am leaving July 27 to study in Guanajuato, Mexico until Dec 12! I am very excited to improve my Spanish, learn the culture, travel, and well, have some fun! ... full info
