Who: It began with Canadian protesters called Adbusters. As they spread their influence more and more people from large cities in the U.S began to join. They call themselves the 99%. What: They are protesting against wall street about the financial problem they have put the country in. Where: It began in New York but now it's in Chicago, Boston, Oakland, Los Angeles, and some others. When: It began September 17, 2011 and it's still going on. Why: They protests about social and economic inequality, high unemployment, greed, corruption, and the undue influence of corporations like banks and financial institutions. They argue that the difference in wealth has been growing, making the wealthy people 1% of the population and everyone else is low income.
