All, I could have done without Amsterdam. After the sobering, soul inspiring visit to the Anne Frank House, we entered the crazy world of Queen's Day, a national holiday celebrating the birthday of Queen Beatrix. The color orange is worn by most, and these crazy Netherlanders eat, sing, drink, sell flea market items, have concerts, ride their boats on the canal, and basically just have a tail-gating party ALL DAY AND NIGHT LONG!!! We hung out in this wild craziness for about 3 hours and then retreated to the hotel until later that evening. And yes, we did wear orange.
