Lucky you!!! So you managed to find the beaches in Oz eh?
Lucky you - we couldn't see them for the sheets of rain delivered via a cyclone that hung over the coast for our 3 week stay in NSW. We did get to see some impressive floods - home from home.
ouch! Things can only get better!!!! Not fancying the idea of loose croc's in those waters. Have a fabulous festive experience. This year, I will be mostly eating Goose!!!! Be safe!
Cool blog, but oh dear, the hair Hi Rob,
Great blog, cool waterfall and pictures, glad you are on your way again, but are you planning a haircut before OZ - actually you look really cute with curls - we never new you had them!
I still LOVE YOU bad boy! Saw the knee, bad move... Im off on my around the world travels on tues but heading the other way ie. states - australia - thailand so might miss you...
Flip Flop Fool You gert great fool - what are you doing treking through jungles in FLIP FLOPS for gawds sake!!! Read the Lonely Planet or are you just carrying it for ballast - it tells you NOT to go through undergrowth with feet exposed - especially your great smelly fungus ridden plates - you have been awarded FFF grade 1. Was I right or was i right about keeping cuts clean??? Trust in the great white 'Still loving you but really mad at you' mumsy memsab.
Biking Dear Rob,
The trip by motorbike looks brilliant! I really want to do some of that, so will see if it is possible in Chile. I feel quite inspired by your race back to full travel power!
Keep up the excitement,
Love Penny
knees Hi Rob, ditch the mad one - push him off his moped into a ditch on a deserted road and hop away as fast as your one good leg will take you! Such impudence he has taking obvious delight in showing off his TWO totally scar free, bendy , bandy knees. Pleased you are back out on your travels again and with the company of a good mate - looks like you are making the best of it with your limited mobility. So am I getting teh necklace or bag for Christmas. I'll be in Bangkok on November 9th if that coincides with you we can meet up. Love you Rob go carefully.
Superb pictures And happy to see that you are back on 2 legs (Almost) You are lucky , it could have been the third leg... On an other hand, you would have aprreciated the treatment from the nurses, even small, I guess.
Keep getting better, big boy
maurice
PS: Sorry for the Rugby final, in fact I am not so sorry ;-)))))
Great to see you active again Dear Rob,
fantastic place Chiang Mai, one of my favourites, but sorry to hear you are not up to an elephant ride yet! When I was there the night market was flooded so we did the sunday one and had a brilliant time.
I continue at Hatun Sonqo, battling with local community prejudice, nun,s calling us the spawn of the devil and the ceiling dripping on my bed during the storms! All good Peruviasn Fun! Am in Cuzco for the weekend recovery and a shower, hurrah! Hoipe to do Macchu picchu next week and then a great 8 day trip into the jungle. Keep looking after that knee
Love penny
Hi Asgeir Good to hear from you, it's been a long time.
Then knee is much better now, thanks. I had the stitches out a couple of days ago, but I still have to be careful.
Strange that you are staying in our house. I will maybe see your parents and sister then as I will be back home in February.
Take care mate
OH MY GOD!! Mr Smith!! My goodness me.. until about an hour ago I didn't even know what you were up to in life and now I discover all of this!! Randomly enough my dad sent me the link, I'm so glad he did! Your blog is amazing, had me chuckling lots, just like old times :-). But dude, pretty hardcore at the same time. If you'd just waited a few years I could've come and made you all better - I've just started doing a graduate medicine course ;-) we haven't done crazy infections in knees yet... Anyway, I'm deffo gonna keep check of you now I know this is all here... keep your chin up boyo! Lots of love and skin healing thoughts xxxxxx Chloe xxxxxxx
Hello Rob.
Your mum sent my family a link to your website. Hard luck with the knee and I hope it is recovering well. My parents and little sister will be staying in your house for a couple of months after Christmas. It will be strange visiting them and sleeping perhaps in your room, with my old house the other side of the road. Take care and I hope you enjoy the rest of your trip.
Asgeir
This is not unlike the life of prisoner in Kupaqng cell block H except I don't get the visits from nurses (though there are enough of them around you would think one or 2 would visit) and I do get a walk each day.
You would think they would have used blankets stitch at least. With all that skin pulled together I guess you have to be careful not to bend your knee or you will wink (or worse)
Hope its better for some diving on Great Barrier
great picy of stitches dear Rob,
Great to see you chatting to the nurses and that the wound is healing at long last. Enjoy your freedom next week!
look forward to the rest of the adventures,
Penny
Yay recieved loud and clear yes, I keep hearing about this dodgy advertising that appears with my blogs, but it's out of my hands. Emma was telling me about the gay chat banners, a bit worry.
Glad you're enjoying the blogs though!!
I have just graduated from Imperial College London with a Masters in Mechanical Engineering. I have a job with Shell starting in February, which means until then I have 6 months to travel and see a bit of the world!
Thought it would be a good idea to get a travel blog going so those interested enough can keep up to date on my where abouts, it also has the advantage of saving me from having to write loads of emails with similar content. Bear in mind internet connection is not always easy to find out here and when it is it's generally not the fastest, but I'll do my best to keep my travel blo... full info
