Love your blog. It was great to meet you in India, and we'll look forward to seeing you in the UK for a tasty pint on the last leg of our Round the World journey. Will look forward to your India blog entry.
All the best. Rachel.

I loved cambo soooo much and happy to see you had a great time too. What friendly people and da best coffees.
Hi Rob. Did that identical trip in 2002, so was a nice trip down memory lane. Am actually back in India myself at the moment. Chilling in Kerela, and loving every minute of it. Back to Ireland in two weeks though. Trying to keep that to the back of my mind. Good to hear from you again!
Awesome Photos! Such great photos Rob! I'm planning to take a year off (although not in the very near future unfortunately) and things like this just make me want to even more!
You do not know me, but I saw your pictures and I was really amazed by them...they look great! u're really fortunate to have seen a whale shark and taking a picture of it! This reminds me of my dives in Curacao :D Anyway, have much fun there in Thailand,
Best wishes, Manon van Biezen

i would like to be the part of this group, plz send the things required ,,,
Ko chang was my second favourite place in Thailand. Pai was my first. It's four hours north of Chang Mai. Make sure you include it in your itinery. And keep the stories coming....
Glad to see that you are still having a fab time. Isn't diving great? Have jsut booked a trip to the red sea to do some myself.
Christmas in such a place must be out of this world.
Hi Rob.. It is really nice reading about India and Nepal from a foreigner. Having myself travelled across India ( I couldn't aford to travel out-side India ) extensively.. I met many fellow travellers from Europe and rest of teh west. It was always interesting to hear about India from the western perspective. Yes it is Dirty, unclean.. and cheap here in India.. yet I loved my travels through India and Nepal. Don't miss a Helicopter flight to Everest in Nepal .. it is dead Cheap ! Hoping you the Best experiences in your travels.
..Hi Rob ..I love reading your blogs.. especially of your Indian experiences ! .. and for a small correctiona pal .. that is not Vivekananda Statue at Kanyakumari.. it just stood on the Vivekananda Rock. It is a famour Tamil Poet/writer's statue. I myself doesn't know his name tho.. ! wish you all teh Best in your travels - Ramesh
Hi Rob,
At the risk of sounding repetitive, it's so cool to hear of your experiences after being there earlier in the year. Christmas on a beach in Thailand sounds so appealing. You aren't missing much here. A bunch of crazy shoppers almost killing each other in a last attempt to get the perfect gift. And it's freakin freezing! Have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Dave.
PS Your photographs are getting really good man!
It all looks very serene. I am sure its not though. The Ghats must have been awe inspiring. Perhaps too overwhelming to be able to write as much as others might consider fitting.
Is that it? Rob,
In comparison to your previous entries, this is pitiful. The spiritual home of Hindus and you can only write a few paragraphs, come on son get your finger out. obvioulsy I ma hardly jealous at all that you are swanning your way around the world. Enjoy yourself, life only goes down hill after you reach 97, all the best Robert
More in Kanchipuram You'd like to see more in Kanchipuram: Visit the Kattaikkuttu Youth Theatre School where 6-16 year olds from villages get a professional training in the local Kattaikkuttu theatre in combination with basic education. The project prevents child labour in rural theatre companies and stimulates kids to think critically and independently through the arts. The school depends on Indian and foreign donations and grants. For more information visit the website www.kattaikkuttu.com
fabulous trip I'm going back to India after 33 years. I think the trip to see RIDE would be really interesting. Did you stay there? Do you have to book the place in advance? I love your pictures there, and of Hampi. I can barely remember it, just that the musician inside sound like Benny Goodman (my diary)
