Yippee!
I loved your blog. You are an amazingly resilient hiker Di. I am gobsmacked at how far you have walked, up and up and down and oh so wet. Tell Ross I am not sure either why he needed to jog as well. He is iron man. I hope the visa is charged up for Paris! Looking forward to seeing you back here.

Great story telling!
Just read your whole tale at one go and needless to say, am mightily impressed with your determination and good humour despite tremendous odds. This trip will certainly be one for the memories book!

Can't stop giggling
Okay, I know there is agony between the lines but my stomach is sore from giggling as I read about your difficult hikes. You will be skin and bone by the time you finish.........oh, I was forgetting about the full English breakfasts, tortes and sherry.

You probably knew there would be days like this....
This day sounds like a doozy!!!

Raining here too
Lots of rain here too but Saturday was an Indian Summer day. Ian and I had a picnic in Stanley Park and took Scooby all through the trails.

Actually the fields were very soft , very spongy and very boggy - my pole went down about half a meter when I missed a rock trying to get through an area. Bit of a challenge and thought of you and our walks.

Question
Is this the walk you are doing? The 190 mile cross England walk from St Bees on the West coast to Robin Hood's bay on the East coast, was outlined by the late Alfred Wainwright. Looking forward to seeing your photos.

Way to go!
No excuse needed to read about your exploits! It's a good job you have had some urban rain to deal with to get you ready for country rain. Just think how soft the fields will feel after all that concrete. You'll hardly notice the miles. And no cars to watch out for! Take care! Lynn

Embrace the wet and mud!
Roll around in it and just know you'll have a lovely hot bubble bath and tea at the end of each day (hopefully)!
