Been there!
We dived in Zanzibar, wasn't that impressed. Zanzibar is lovely, has wonderful beaches we really enjoyed the island. We are in Croatia btw!

Rain what rain ?
We had ZERO Rain when we were there!!!! we did the boat tour which was excellent

La Fortuna
We were super lucky even the tour guides said that we were lucky to see the Volcano with no cloud for the whole 3 days we were there! its about 3 days out the whole year you see it without cloud. Yeah we took a taxi to the waterfall in the morning and was picked up by a tour company to take us on an afternoon tour. That road is steep I wouldn't want to walk it lol. We also did a day trip to Rio Celeste which was lovely.

Lake Atitlan
We spent a week here a couple of nights in Panajachel in that "big hostel" not a good move lol and we visited the same nature park, then we spent a few days in this wonderful little resort right on the lake about 5 mins boat ride from San Marcos the hippy town. We visited San Pedro and San Juan as it was an easy boat ride there.

You will find the most interesting characters in Guatemala, I'm not talking about locals either!! lots if hippies, America xpats and the "find myself brigade" its all their in Guat!!

It's our favourite city, been there twice now, I have a good friend that lives in Sunnyvale. Will be back there next year ?
