Blog response Hi Mike,
It's been a while since I opened up my blog. Just noticed your kind note of a year ago about the India portion. I returned from my trip in August of 2007 after 16 mo. Almost every day I'm reminded of some portion of my travels. Last spring I accepted an invite to come to Cairo and then expandedthat to include other places in the Mid East--two months in all. Now I'm home trying to figure on where I'll go next. Thanks for your interest.

Sandy and I just went through your last two journals. Still in India--two months! So, What HAVE you gotten yourself into?--he said, noting your first India entry-title....
The photos are wonderful, and your journal entries are filled with delicious tidbits that transport us into your experience. Thanks for sharing all of this with us! We are saving up questions for when you return, IF you return. Continued rewarding travels....
Hi! Hi Ricia,
It's marvelous to read about your travels and heartwarming to read how easily and consistently you're meeting people you like. I've only read your last entry, but now that I have the site address, I'll go back and vicariously journey with you. Thanks for that!
Blessings to you,
Marcia Cannon
Bon voyage Ricia (my wife's name is Patricia too, but she calls herself Pat). I stumbled upon your latest blog from Pushkar and decided to read all your blogs from day one. I have to say I admire your courage and your photography skills! During my years in the travel industry, I too was fortunate to visit many of the places you have seen and your blogs have brought those memories back to life. Thank you. Enjoy India - it's unique. The touts and beggars can be a bit off-putting but do as most of the Indians do: ignore them. They won't go away but it helps you to focus on what you came there to see. I decided some years ago that I couldn't help all the poor of India, so have directly supported one boy's education and have found it very rewarding - see my blog of last year's visit. He is now a young man and has recently completed a Master's degree in Political Science!
May you continue to enjoy your travels and the wonderful experiences which they bring.
Keep smiling!

Great Pictures You look like the lead character in one of my favorite movies: Out of Africa. The photos are spectacular and the angle from the balloon picked up the vineyards, etc., among the barren areas.
Just got back from Colorado with the Grandson and found your e-mail among the pack and moved to yours immediately, not wanting quite to end the vacation this fast.
Take care. Looking forward to your next communication.
Always,
Carol P.
PS We did not get Telepapaque as a second site for RE/MAX. Want to keep it retail; we think someone else had more money to buy out the owners or to pay more rent. Bummer!!
Dubrovnik I love reading about your adventures. You bring everything to life with loads of description. Dennis and I have been to Croatia many years ago and Dubrovnik was one of my favorite cities. We hope to go back next May. Thank you so much for filling us in on this wonderful site. We will continue reading.
Travel Safe!

Excellent post. It is good to know about Monet's Garden. We were wondering if the flowers would be in bloom this time next year and now we know.
Have fun.

In one month I'm off on my first RTW trip. After a year of planning, and years of dreaming, it's about to happen. My first stop is Paris followed by a month or so through eastern Europe and then on to Turkey.
The week before I leave, I'll be celebrating my 59th birthday. Some might think it crazy for a woman to be traveling solo at my age, but I th... full info
