Despite the late night I woke up at 5.15am, dressed and went out for a walk round the grounds. It was dark and finding sure footing on the wet grass, mud and uneven/broken pathways was quite tricky. Still, I made it down to the chapel for 5.50am and walked through the small wooden doors to find seating for about 60, a small altar on a raised platform in one corner and simply decorated interior. There was one stained glass window at one end. The priest was preparing for the day ahead and, as with Noah, the students began entering 1 by 1 and 2 by 2. 29 were present as we began the Mass in English which was interspersed with some simple, unaccompanied African singing. I was welcomed greatly and the service lasted about 30 minutes.
