Hiya! Hi guys, great photos- you both look so well. I'm sure it'll be sad to come home but we'll be very happy to see you again! Have fun and call us when you get back...
Had almost forgotten what you look like! Fantastic pictures as usual. Was beginning to think we had had the last blog. Can't imagine why you wanted to pick up a python Rachael - not sure you looked that comfortable. Can't wait to see you on Saturday. Hope its not going to be too much of a shock having proper showers etc. Supper on Saturday growing a bit in numbers. Lots of people want to come and welcome you back. love Mum
Well, I see this is old, but who cares =P I dunno where you are guys from, but I'm from Argentina, and it's cool to see that people come and enjoy our country, many ppl think it isn't that beautiful, but that is cuz they haven't visited it. I hope you have good memories about it ^^
(The undescribed bird "Vaca") By the way, "Vaca" = "Cow", not a bird :P
Ciao Hi guys....caught up on the blogs...skim read though. How id Cambodia treating you? Still there? What next? Looking forward to seeing you soon....bet you can't wait to get back to the hussle and bussle of work! A great book I read that put the whole Cambodia situation into perpective was: 'First they killed my father'....not the lightest of reads but highly recommended. Enjoy, and speak soon.
Ankor Watt trees Hello guys,
Monday AM - just arrived at work - but pictures of trees on temple at Ankor Watt some of the coolest I have ever seen!
Take care, Will
Still can't believe the beard, one more little slip of the razor and it will be of!!! Still looking great out there and glad to see Rachel better. Have block booked the last weekend in March for your return. We all saw the dvd of your jump Rich. It gave Ben nightmares for weeks.! You brave guy. Pretty good here. Things getting more hectic with the sailing / riding agenda. Tim, laura and Ben been really ill with flu. They say it is going to snow here on Tues or Wed. Hurray. Lets hope so. Glad you refused the blood Rich, obviously maturing. You would have drunk that when you went travelling straight after school. keep meeting the fantastic people ( i mean the locals, not wierd fellow travellers). Can't wait to trysome of these recipes. happy Holidays. sal xxx
Is it a nice place to live? Dad has been offered a couple of jobs here and was quite tempted for a while, not so sure myself.
Sun shining, folks are out doing things, Dad racing on the laser in his new dry suite (didn't realise you had to deflate it when he got in the boat!) Walked in forest with taz and sal and ben while laura riding. Snowdrops and crocuses are up, snow forecast next week!
lots of love Mum and Dad xxx
Drink! You guys are a bad influence on us- even from the other side of the world- we've been alcohol soaked for weeks now and it's starting to get silly! Luca's been on the Whiskey and has had some spectacular falls! We'll sober up swiftly so that we can resume upon your return ;-). Take care guys
bonjour Hi guys, been a long time. The blogs looking great as ever. Were they actually shaving that beard right off. Result!!! We have just been skiing for a week in France and had a fab time. Even the snow was pretty good, the vin chaud was excellent, but the children ski very fast not sure how much longer I can keep up with them. Wow, it's going to hard for you guys to return, you look well settled into the travelling life. Hope Rachel feeling better. Love Sal xxx
Hi guys....caught up on your blogs. Good to hear you had a great festive season. Hope 2007 will be as exciting as the latter part of 2006! Pics looking as lovely as ever. How's the trip in vietnam progressing? try and stop in hoi an if you can....lovely old town, and some of the best food in the country I thought - try the 'White Rose' ...that's a dish and not a restaurant (and you can always pick-up a tailor made wardrobe for for next to nothing..). And if time allows, hitch a ride with the Easy Riders from Dalat to Ho Chi Min - great way to see the country. Anyway....all good here, and moved into our palace (10 days ago !). there's a spare room so please do come and visit when you get back...just give us time to get a bed in there. We accept all major credit cards but no foreign change! Oh, and it has a garden for Rach to experiment with. Enjoy and looking forward to the next blog. ciao, paolo + kate
...things that go bump in the night HI phil,
great to hear from you. Really hope the pregnancy thing is going well. We are both really pleased for you both (but especially you, sorry birds). It's Rg's birthday today and our last night in Laos so we have been out for a french dinner to celebrate. Hope the not smoking fags is going ok (Birdy you should be giving up too). Lots of love for all people, Rich.
Hi Phil babe, sorry about Rich he's a bit tipsy..first bottle of red wine in a while since we have been in south east asia. Miss you loads hon and have been thinking of you, when is D-Day? Have seen a few things for the baby boy, but not sure you would approve of the ethnic baby clothes out here though! Keep in touch hon and big kisses and hugs for you all Rach xxxxxxxxxxxxx
Scary!! You pair of nutters! Great photos guys, you look like you are having so much fun! Rather you than me now though, as i think my bump is bigger than the elephants hump!! Keep us posted on more action! Love Phil xxxxxx
Hi Wow, riding and being that close to the elephants looks amazing, your journey to the cave sound freaky, not sure I would have been amused either. So how is the red wine?
Take care
Lyndsay
Happy 2007! Hey guys,
Happy Nu Year!! Glad to hear you have been celebrating the festivities in grand style - love the Xmas hotel room. Whilst you are learning the fine art of Mahoouting, I am sadly back at the workhouse, trying to remember what it is I am supposed to be doing for a living. I gave Rosie a big cuddle for you Rach when we popped over to Pittsmead for fab dinner with your parents and told her you'd be back soon - am sure she understood! Keep having a fabulouso time chickadees, Love Lxxx
HAPPY NEW YEAR! Glad to see you've carried on celebrating Christmas in the usual Griffiths way Rachael (well at least in the usual Will Griffiths way!) Hope New Year was as much fun. Its back to the grind stone for us all now - not just the skeleton Christmas staff - which of course means mainly Griffiths! Only Giles escaped. We had a great New Year - boeuf en croute superbly cooked by Dad - remember the last one he did with the Singletons all those years ago? Yesterday lunch with Marg and John at the Compasses. Feeling jaded now and its only 9am!
Love to you both and keep on having fun.
Mum xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
merry crimbo and happy new year hello kids, how are you 2 doing? merry crimbo and happy new year. i bet you are thinking how has the time gone by so quickly...i am looking forward to your return as you have been greatly missed.
stay cool, enjoy the rest of your road trip and stay safe. ha ha love ya xx
New year I like the Taxi, very swish. No life Jackets then? Is it budhism (sp) locally? Rob and Judy around yesterday then to the pub as Nick Heyward Young was having a Jam session. The 20 somethings of Minstead were there, Alice Dibben was heart breaking standing at the bar holding out some change on her hand saying "can I get two alcaholic drinks with this?" it worked because I topped it up!
We will look at other hotels but crazy is fine! New Year at the Dibbens with 28 so may not be too well behaved, but have a great evening and year ahead. Love Dad
Lovely... Hotel, what a place to spend Christmas. Anyway I would just like you wish you both a happy new year and may a few more of your dreams come true in 2007.
Take care
Lyndsay
Hope you had a fab Christmas! Glad you liked Chang Mai, you should have hooked up with Juliette while you were there. We also loved the place and shopped as well so don't feel too bad Rach. Missing you both, looking forward to seeing you when you get back.
Laos is fab - one of Paolo's favourite places, you will love it! The bread was pretty good there as well, curries aren't as nice as in Thailand but they have some great Indian restaurants you should check out, both in Vang Vien and Luang Prabang.
We're off to Italy tomorrow. We have also exchanged on our house and complete on the 5th Jan - very excitting. This also means you guys have someone to stay when you visit the smoke!
Speak soon - keep enjoying the trip!
Lots of love,
The Proh's xxxx
Dad I can't believe you actually got on the computer...eventually! Hi Dad, great christmas message. Unlike most people who may not understand your joy over such matters, I do know what you mean. That will at least fund Les Croissants, if not educated palates, certainly well practiced ones! You certainly made both Rich and I laugh. Really appreciate the comments and am mightly impressed. Now I know you know how to do it, there is no excuse not to keep putting comments on. Its great to hear from you. Missed you all loads over Christmas, but we will just have to make it an extra special Christmas next year. All my love and I said a prayer for you today when we were in the Buddhist temple as you asked. So hopefully there will be lots of good karma coming your way. Big hug love Rach xxxxxx

HAPPY CHRISTMAS i am typing this message myself so it is taking a little while but i wanted to inject a personal note to my happy christmas message. you will understand if i am a little gleeful over the fact that we have had two deaths by dangerous driving ,two murders and lots of general crime and disorder .albeit fewer clients than normal seem to have been caught doing their christmas shopping. rachael
