rain forest OK FINE! I guess the Vatican needs to replenish it's coffers after paying off all those little boys, so I suppose I'll let them continue telling the flock to pump out as many contributors as they can.
Now about those rain forests..........If the cow people only get $1,000 plus $145 year and the intact forest can make $6,820 year. Shouldn't we be down there buying as much forest as the cow people will sell us? The problem is I can't buy much with three-fiddy (South Park).
Miss you,
Dad
"In the Peruvian Amazon, for example, one hectare (2.5 acres) of land can produce $6, 820 per year if intact forest is sustainably harvested for fruits, latex, timber. If clear-cut, that same hectare is worth about $1,000 and can't be used again. If cattle-grazed, it's worth about $148 per year."
Positive Peri Come on Bummer Bill- yeah you want to focus on the bad stuff take this:
"In Brazil, 5.4 million acres of rainforest are destroyed each year. Destroying a rainforest is not cost-effective. In the Peruvian Amazon, for example, one hectare (2.5 acres) of land can produce $6, 820 per year if intact forest is sustainably harvested for fruits, latex, timber. If clear-cut, that same hectare is worth about $1,000 and can't be used again. If cattle-grazed, it's worth about $148 per year. With rainforest destruction, an estimated 137 species of life forms are driven into extinction each day."
Idiots! all 6,845,146,634+ of them!
And not only do we measure quality of life by availability of jobs but we also measure the quality of the job by how little we work. So things are backwards or completely inside out. But you know the population cant continue in this way, we will change the system or it will collapse and we will change. But the change will not come from the system it will come from the people, corporations are not the change, we as the population rule the demand and will be the change. You are one of my biggest inspirations dad, I talk about you constantly here (seriously!), one of the most level headed and balanced persons I know. You've managed to never let my "hero" image of you fade, so please don't start now. I know you've always had some pessimism in you but nows not the time. Devastation is accuring but we can't focus on it.
What is so exciting are the new inventions that are like nothing we've ever seen, cities built underground- keeping agriculture on top, reusable books, beautiful houses built from trash... and so much more. We get to go back to the basics, whether we like it or not, back to handmade and hand labor. Exciting!! So quit it Bummer Bill, be good!
Love you

OK, We'll go with once per month blog. Peri, you sound just like a Hollywood Celeb. ....I love to see the passion.....and I hope you keep it up........However you need to know something.....Unfortunately it's all for not, because people refuse to deal with the REAL problem. And you know why? Follow the Money!!!

You know how communities measure their success? Not by the quality of life but how many jobs they have.
wow! Peri,
What an expierence, right?? I have a visual of the kiwi men, what about the women? The pizza sounds awesome, is it similar to pizza pizza? Do you sell al the veggies to local places or what?
Have fun Peri and you are capable of ANYTHING!!!!Thanks for keeping everyone who loves you posted. I see your mom Friday yea! Take care,
Love you, Mindy
Peri, I love reading your blogs. You always make me feel like I right there with you. Your writings are wonderful and I decided that writing is your calling, so keep them coming with the pictures... Sounds like you are having the time of your life and what an experience and an education... You are a lucky lucky girl.... Loved the pictures of you that Madi posted. You are only one the didn't change. I didn't even know you then, but just can imagine...Have the time of your life. I love and miss you tons. Hugs....
haha Sweet Maria from Argentina turns over to me and with her face straight as an arrow and says "We will Kiill t'eese birds."
So funny. So? Did she? Need picture of this chick.
ha Peri, That made me laugh out loud here in CoCo's. Your description of the men in their short shorts. Very similar style here too, except in Palm Springs they walk with a little swing in their step. I went hiking yesterday at the top of the tram. I remember you liked that tram. I will drive up to Oregon for Mom's 90th then I'll go to Mt Whistler, Canada. Nobody has any money here in the USA so....... Your brother sucks. He won't call me back, let alone play tennis. I think it's the girl. So, how long will you stay at the caboose? Drive on the left side "Legally" HaHa. IDEA!! Write down classic Kiwi phrases when you hear them. Love You. MISS YOU
Dad
nice Nice, but I already taught you that. No good without bad, happy without sad, dark without light. That's why the idea of heaven doesn't make sense. Peri, I will tell you again!!!
