Excellent blog, nice Photos Very beautiful your photos, very interesting your blog! Is Pleasant and very beautiful a tour on the island of Mykonos! The rental of a vehicle and solves the problem of transportation on the island! getting a rental car or motorbike in Mykonos, is a solution for those who want to see and discover the beauty of the island!
Corfu again I am bringing my swimsuit! We're from Texas where there is no snorkeling,(cloudy water, etc.) We have 3 days in Venice, 2 days to wander to Amalfi via Florence, then 3 days in Amalfi area After that we need to get to Bari and ferry to Corfu. I thought we could drop our rental car in Bari, but that may be a problem. Is driving in Italy a bad idea? The rental cars are pretty cheap and we could see more.
We'll be in Corfu 3 days then we fly to Barcelona. I'm scared after reading bad reviews about Veuling Airlines, but they won't make or break our trip. I'm hoping to swim at lots of beaches while my daughter practices her photography skills.
Do you travel all the time?
Thanks,
Gloria D.
Loving your blog I am going to Italy and Greece this summer and am loving your blog! I am thinking of missing Florence and Rome because they are crowded and big cities. Wish you had gone to Corfu!
Hi Gloria.
I did go to Corfu. Well worth the day trip! The best part was taking the cable car up the hill, then catching a local bus over to the other side of the island. The best bus ride ever! Take your swimming clothes as well...
Florence and Rome are very much worth visiting. I too like my small towns, but both cities have lots to see, even if its just the Duomo in Florence, and the cathedral and Coliseum in Rome.
I still wear the leather jacket I bought in Florence all through winter, and my girlfriend still gets comments about the one she bought as well.
Have a great trip!
Proud! This makes me proud to know that women officers are strong enough to fight in the force. I just become an officer in the OCCB Unit. Women rule!!!
If Michael Jackson is truly dead, why wasn't his body revealed to the public? There are many variables that can conclude that Michael jackson is not dead.
great pictures and summary of Paros and Mykonos Hello,
I just arrived in Santorini and have 7 days total.
From your comments i feel i should spend them all here in Santorini?? or should i venture out to Mykonos or Paros?
OMG I just logged back on again and found this message in the mail. I had to post it for you all:
"that picture of I don't know who BUT it is NOT michael Jackson. Do you know what he looks like? have you ever even seen him?...the caption reads that he's not dead and he was spotted at times square the day of or day after his funeral. well.. Michael was a 50-51 year old gentleman who had an extremely lighter complexion than the impersonator you photographed. that guy in the picture looks nothing like him. Phony publicity I see... trying to make a buck off of an icons death"
Great Pics Paris is amazing no? While true there is a Mc Donalds on the Champs de Eleysee you can have a glass of wine with your Big Mac! Your tower view was much better than the one our hotel. For ten euros a night extra we could see the tip of the tower if you weren't afraid to lean out the window and crick your neck 90 degrees or so.
Miss you It's funny you know. When you share experiences with another person - and that person hasn't experienced them before - you view that same old thing thru the other person's eyes and everything becomes brighter somehow. The old sites become a little less ordinary. That's how I felt when you were here Paul - and of course it had nothing to do with your personality - nice bugger that you are! I will miss seeing the world through your camera though. You have a great talent there and you should see if you can't make some money with some of your shots. Look forward to hearing from you periodically...Three more weeks and Matthew will be off to University and then Brian and I will be empty nesters - so will always a room for you to come back to! Cheers. Elsie
I agree It takes time to discover a city, but then as a tourist, you do sometimes feel compelled to do "the sights". Last time I was there, I experienced a pretzel from a street vendor, and threw most of it in the bin. this time, I experienced a hot dog out of the bath water, complete with mustard etc. I can say I've done it now! I wish I'd tried the octopus in Greece...
BTW, for other readers; the concierge site mentioned above is a good read, but is loaded with ads and pop-ups.
I really do (heart) NYC NYC is an awesome place, but sometimes the touristy spots aren't the places to get the best feel of the city. Here's a pretty interesting list of 10 things NOT to do in NYC, hope you enjoy... http://www.concierge.com/ideas/hotspots/tours/500723
Thanks Thanks for your compliments, Alicia. I'd happily return to Santorini anytime, although I need a month to catch up on savouring my own bed, holding my kids, and doing some washing first! I'm going to need an equal amount of time to work out which of the 10,000 photos to print out, but I'd reckon there's going to be at least one giant print of Santorini on my living room wall very soon.
