Geo: 51.5002, -0.126236Had a really early start to the day(5.30am) to catch the Eurostar at 8.43am, we grabbed a taxi out the front then headed to the station, Gare Du Nord, once through customs, we had some time for the duty free shopping where we saw Chateau Palmer bottle of red wine at €290.00 the dearest in the shop. Unfortunately we didn't buy it!!We boarded the train then we were off, at first it didn't seem that fast then once we were whizzing past trucks that were doing 110km per hour, that was when we knew it was fast!Clint and I went for a walk to the bar carriage and bought mini bottles of champagne to have with our baguettes, who cares what the rest of the world is doing!!We arrived in London right on time ... read more

Geo: 48.8727, 2.32896Today is Sunday and we decided to do this hop on hop off bus trip, passing loads of really amazing building, Churches, Opera and just some amazing pieces of architecture, to think some of these buildings are so old and just so spectacular. We stopped off at Hard Rock Cafe and bought some T-shirts and some guitar picks then got on the next bus and continued the journey. It's currently 11.00am and we still haven't had any breakfast yet, once we get further into our trip we will hopefully find a crepe cafe! We didn't realise that on Sundays, most of the shops don't open......oh no.Well we hopped off at one stop, had a look around, then hopped back on and continued to a different route, the sights are still amazing. We continued past the ... read more

Geo: 48.8681, 2.36454Today we started off the day with a walk, right past a patisserie so we had to get a coffee and Clint and Nikki got a croissant. We walked quite a while down Rue De Temple where we ended up on Rue De Rivoli which is where we found lots of shops but....closed!We crossed the Seine river and did some souvenir shopping then headed to Notre Dame,This place was amazing, you have to wonder how years ago they built places like this without the machines we have today. Huge stained glass windows and such grace, you have to just pinch yourself to realise you are in Paris!!We didn't do a tour but we were able to walk through most of Notre Dame by ourselves, absolutely amazing! We then headed back over the river and oh ... read more

Geo: 48.8668, 2.36406Today we had a mission to do, for months Nikki has been saying when she goes to Paris, everyday for breakfast she wants to have a Nutella crepe, so we walked to try and find the crepes but after almost giving in to McDonalds, we decided to catch the train to the Eiffel Tower as we knew there was crepe vans there, and yes, when we got there, Nikki's eyes lit up, first because she saw the Eiffel Tower, then she saw the crepes! After demolishing a crepe, we headed and took loads of photos of the Eiffel Tower as this place is amazing, a worldwide icon and there it was right in front of us! We walked towards the line to find thousands of people lining up to go up to the top, we ... read more

Geo: 59.274, 10.4172We woke up close to 11am, a real lazy day!!After having some brunch, we drove to the end of the world, Verdens Ende, a very windy and freezing cold place where in summer it is apparently very nice!! We got out and walked along the rocks just about getting blown away. Everything in Norway on New Years Day is closed so a nice warm coffee was out of the question, although we tried to get one but it was shut. We ended up having pizza and coffee at Kjetil and Tine's beautiful home at about 4pm and as it was dark and raining, it felt like about 8pm! We returned to home and we had to start packing our bags to prepare for our journey to Paris, an early night was had by all ... read more

Geo: 59.2741, 10.4171Today is my Birthday (Sue's) and it was very nice to actually have a sleep in, and a strong coffee in bed, and opened some presents and cards from home. After showering we all had an amazing lazy breakfast to put hotels to shame, toast, sliced meats, an enormous amount of cheese and fruits and then later, we walked to the lookout, and had a great view of the whole area, nice walk, cold but didn't take long to warm up. No snow in sight which is very unusual for this time of the year. Then we hit the shops for a few hours and had a late lunch of pizza! We were joined by Therese and Mia and also Seraphina, who is Therese's step daughter from London and we had the Best pizzas in Norway!!More ... read more

We went into Harrods but the prices were sky high , tried on some perfume then got some lunch. Our flight to Oslo was 2 hours which did go quite quickly, the plane wasn't full so were able to have a window seat each, heading over Norway, there was some mountains with some snow, which we saw close to landing in Oslo When we landed we went duty free shopping for alcohol - Aquavit !! - a Norwegian drink, enough to strip paint!! We then headed to see Kensington Palace and took some photos, then headed to the front of the Palace where there was some pretty fancy huge homes along the street, where NO photos were to be taken ...hehe!! We saw some men we thought were bodyguards but they were personal drivers, so we stopped and asked them who lived along the street, mainly different Embassy's ,eg Norwegian , Russian , and only the rich... A minimum price of £50 million !!We then rode back ... read more
