Bangkok! I'm writing this in Hanoi so we've already left but it was... alright. Nothing special. Saw the Grand Palace, pretty special. But apart from that, the nightlife is ok. When we first landed and got in to central Bangkok we thought it was hectic, cars and tuk tuks everywhere, no real laws. Crossing the road was a bit scary at first, but you soon get used to it. You walk out and make them stop, they don't really want to hit anyone! It's a really polluted city. Probably a good place to start in South East Asia if you want a bit of local culture as well as a healthy dose of Western food/drinks/everything really. Things are cheap, food particularly!
