At Last
Wondered if you two had got lost down in the Minoan labarynth or put in jail for trying to steal the emaeralds from the Topkapi palace. Sounds like there have been no changes in the shopping area with Kathleen Mary staggling behind as usual. Good that you missed the Athens fires and just today there were terrible floods in Istanbul. Anyway, good to catch up with all your news at last. Love dianne margaret

Nostalgia
Hi you two, how nostalgic to read all your descriptions. It will be nice for me to revisit Turkey through your eyes as well. Got your email. If you go Googling, you'll see that the Greek and Roman gods have different names. Of course the Greeks were first and they had Artemis. Later on when the Romans arrived they changed the names of all the gods - hence Diana. Another example Poseidon became Neptune and etc. We have been reading of the fires in Athend - terrible for them . Don't envy you the heat - I remember Turkey being hotter than Greece Watch that leg - one despairs to think of what has and is happening inside with those bones and tendons love me xoxoxox

islands of blue water (green with envy)
Hi Amy 14 hrs to Dubai is a VERY long flight and yes, extremely uncomfortable! It was a bit cheeky of the lady to ask you to check her flight details, but very generous of you to do so. Hope the ferry ride was enjoyable, guessing you were able to move around a bit unlike the flight. Thinking of you now in the the islands of blue water, green with envy. I have always wanted to go to the Greek Islands! Happy travelling! Deb
