no title Matt!! I will be in San Fran and in Maui in Jan/Feb, we have to meet up.
I would love to visit you in India but not until you have those not one but two "massage therapists" at hand ;) If you know what i mean? = ]
jk I'll find a way to come visit you regardless. Actually I found an airline that does an "All Asia Pass" for relatively cheap, so lets work something out.
Miss you!! ~Ali~
Anti-Venom Blues Just wondering... if one of those cobras happens to succeed at doing what cobras do, like BITE someone, is there any anti-venom nearby or are you basically rushed to a field hospital 30 miles away while your blood coagulates into the consistency of a milk shake? Thanks.
i miss you! Matt darling, i hope you are feeling divine my friend. it is so lovely to be able to catch up with you here. i wanted to let you know that i'm moving to San Diego on Oct 20th. i still plan to come out and travel the world, but i pushed it back a bit. you'll be the first to know once my intercontinental dates are set. i love you and am thinking of you. paz -galamina
history is being made at this very moment! this is the very first message i have ever sent online on my own (being a first class technophobe - if it's not in a book, it's not worth knowing!) i wanted to share an excerpt from "Maximum City": "India is the Country of the No. That "no" is your test. You have to get past it. It is India's Great Wall; it keeps out foreign invaders. Pursuing it energetically and vanquishing it is your challenge. In the guru-shishya tradition, the novice is always rebuffed multiple times when he first approaches the guru. Then the guru stops saying no but he doesn't say yes either; he suffers the presence of the student. When he starts acknowledging him, he assigns a series of menial tasks, meant to drive him away. Only if the disciple sticks it out through all these stages of rejection and ill treatment is he considered worthy of the sublime knowledge. India is not a tourist-friendly country. It will reveal itself to you only if you stay on, against all odds. The "no" might never become a "yes". But you will stop asking questions." i love you and your blog ( i can even find it on my own now-look out world) and really enjoy reading other's comments - hi everyone! love love love, mom.
Dear, so glad that you have well adjusted to a new life there. Those kids are so cute and lovable, especially the one who wore a glasses! I would award him "The Best Post":) It is surely worth every effort to protect those innocent smiles! Wish I can be there for help.
Your words and pictures all rekindle my memory about Tibet, the place that closest to heaven, if there is one. It is so much alike the place you are at. I understant why you will miss this place, like I have been dreaming of Tibet since I left. it is the place where your soul gets purified, or as you said, a paradise:)
I am sorry that Delhi disappointed you. The problem you have described is actually happening in many other developing countries including China. The anxiety and ambition for development turn developing into destruction. Values and cultural heritage are smashed under the monoblock of urbanization.....
Well, have to stop here and go back to my books. Anticipating for your continuation of the tales of paradise. Miss you, and good luck on your exploration.
By the way, don't know how bad the shower is like, but at least you get a snow white bed sheet:)
it makes me tear up to read your voice. i miss you! i know it must all be overwhelming but the way you write about it makes it seem like you are understanding and sinking in pretty well.
we will talk soon about my plans. i will figure out dates in a few days and then i will know more about when i am coming to see you... (note then i said "when" and not "if") i am coming.
