Amazing luck Thanks, Kathy! When we reported what we saw to various rangers, they all said they had never seen anything like this in all their years in the park.
Beautiful! Hey Becky- your photos are, as usual, beautiful, and it sounds like you're having the adventure you set out for. So glad you're enjoying your explorations, and am just as glad that I get to be a little voyeur to them! Safe travels...
Interesting post, superb experience. After reading your post, I also want to visit this lake. Thanks for sharing your experience with us, this will work as a guidance for us.
outdoorsy words Becks, I know you were meant to participate in this wild adventure because of the outdoorsy stuff you know about. I've heard the phrase "salt lick" before, but never knew what it was. Today I looked it up. Huh, who knew? It's a place where animals go to lick naturally occurring salt deposits. That was news to me!
I'm enjoying learning by vicariously travelling with you! ;-) The lake looks spectacular!
Wooooo Hooooo Becky, So glad to see you went back to Ouray and all the Million Dollar views along the Million Dollar Hywy. I remember all those little towns you went through, especially Tulluride, Silverton and Durango.
Your journey so far looks amazing. Love the photos and Blog thus far. Hope you are well and enjoying life on the "outside"
What beautiful pictures and scenery ..... you enumerated some conditions a photographer should follow and I know you were there in late May. Did you go in the morning? ..... and were others also snapping shots, or no? :)
How to photograph Maroon Bells by yourself! There seemed to be a few other visitors the evening we arrived but no serious photographers as it wasn't the right time. We were going to return if the weather seemed agreeable in the morning but it was overcast.
Hanging Lake Beautiful ... just beautiful. Love the pic of the lake and you and Terry. Very interesting about the bike path especially that it was paved! Stay safe you two. Hugs, Kate
