I think it all started when I was a kid and my grandma lived by the airport in Shreveport, LA, and from time to time she would take us to the airport to watch the planes come and go. I also remember my first flight, I was about 11 or 12, and remember getting in my best suit to fly a turbo prop from I think Dallas to Shreveport with a stop in Texarkana, TX. I remember for sure the sound those props made as it wound up and pushed us down the runway.
