Greetings Nikkers OMG it looks absolutely wonderful in Mombasa & Lamu, I so wish I could be there! We are all rather cold here in the UK but Christmas is around the corner & log fires & mulled wine are slowly becoming a national past time so I'm pleased to report life is not so bad in this part of the world. I'd like a Christmas text if you don't mind Ms W...... But in the mean time try to behave yourself & take care! Lots of love JJ x
Hey Nikki!
I'm so pleased you finnally made it out of London, though sad we didn't get to catch up beforehand.
Looking forward to following what surely promises to be an incredible journey.
With much love,
Nana xxx
You are amazing Nikki finally subscribed thanks to a nudge from George. I am so pleased you have made it to the unit in Kitui.... I can imagine how you must feel now you have seen the brilliant work that they do. I bet it brought a tear or two to your eyes... I visited one of their projects in Romania so I know how you feel. The teachers have an amazing presence about them.
Anyway, it sounds to me like you are having a fabulous time, and I look forward to hearing your updates.
Love Anne xxx
Could be worse, could be wasps.... ...or that's what I tell myself every time I'm faced with the nasty 'roaches :) Keep the updates coming, you'll be giving us all itchy feet in no time (although new shoes?? I hope you broke them in well girlie or there'll be blisters before you know it). Sending lots of love and hey - don't worry about the lack of sunshine - there's plenty in Barbados :)
See you soooooon! Hxxxxx
viking - Southwesterly gale force 8 expected soon... The routine sounds too hard to bear ;-) Actually cities aren't always the best, remember old Lima!? Love the "leaving airport" pic, good to see you've packed adequate food and water supplies for the next 10 months!!
Anyhoo, tuned into your blog and looking forward to hearing of all your adventures ahead! G xxx
I'm loving your blogging... Hi gorgeous nikki...
It sounds like all is going well... i cant wait to hear more, and more and more... my life in Blighty is dull at the moment.

Sunshine I think getting some rain is good at first - that way you dont have to miss London too soon ;). Love the Sunshine song - old but o'so true!! By the way, according to my recconaissance (Guru), lizards do a good cockroach control - maybe you could find a pet one - remember Freddie? :) - and you wont have to feed him ;)... xx
JJ, I might sound like a four year old, but these first days are... emotional! I HATE cockroaches and need sleep! Okay, okay... another Tusker waiter! x
OH MY GOD!!!!! Morecambe and Wise’s “Bring Me Sunshine” Darling Nikkers you really did need to get out a bit more....... Now go & enjoy the world & for god sake change the bloody record :) JJ x
Lamu Oh I had no idea you were kicking your trip off in Kenya... you MUST go to Lamu!! Save some time and skip Mombasa and Malindi... Lamu's worth it. A small Kenyan Zanzibar. Oh man so excited for you!!!!!! xxxxxxxxxx
