Happy travels! Thanks for your comments, we are now sadly back at work in the 'real world' so it was a timely reminder of the fun we had travelling! Enjoy your trip.
Last leg?? Lovely write ups as always. We have so enjoyed your travels and pics and are looking forward even more to seeing you both soon. Cannot believe how quickly the time has gone, conversely it seems ages since you left. Enjoy your last two weeks and a good trip home. Thanks Nick for your lovely email. See you soon. Lots of love to you both. M & D A. XXXX
Catching up Just been catching up after Homs and great backlog of work. Your description of the bus gave me the panics on your behalf. I think I would hVe been off the bus if I had to squash into a little space!! Really enjoying the changes as you move about. It must be a sing to feel like Austria and somewhat unexpected! All well here except poor Ted has just been ill with some obscure(and some may suspect self inflicted ) illness. He is, you may not know, the dig who ate a whole Jcloth earlier this year and scared me to death when he regurgitated it - still folded as the vet informed me!! I thought it might have been his stomach!! He obviously enjoys rubbish or it may be a secret fetish he has. He's been pretty sad but now on the mend.......until the next time! Much love to you both. Looking forward to seeing you before long. XXXXXX
Sorry about your knickers but awesome pools! Hi Nick and Sarah! We are still so proud of you both for doing this adventure. I bet you wish you could spread the exotic food out for the rest of your lives. Stay safe and I hope that all that you lose are your knickers :-) Those pools look absolutely LOVELY!!! Love hearing about the monks lining up. My friend from Thailand took us to see a waaaay smaller version of that in Wash. DC as a part of their Thai New Year. Since all young men have to spend a year in the monastery they love to feed them! It could be your brother or son... Anyway, I still have LOADS to catch up on reading about your travels. I hope your blog will stay up for viewing for a while. LOTS of love and safe travels!!!! xoxoxoxox cindy and Susan
Temples and tree! Lovely detailed blog which we do enjoy. The tree was fascinating and you are certainly cramming a lot in. Pity about the begging children. I imagine it's very difficult to resist. The tree pic was amazing. Thank you for sharing your travels as you progress! Back home now admiring the washing mountain, but doggy boys happy to be home in spite of the welcome home bath!! They become very niffy after 3 weeks in kennels. Lots of love.XXX
Bats about bats Loved your latest blog about the bats. Must have been quite a sight and loved your analysis Sarah about the orderly queues! That really promoted some amusing images in my (in bed) brain!! Tuk tuk train sounds slightly scary, but laughed out loud reading about the meeting of trains! Do all the passengers muck in and help?? Can you imagine 'elf and safety here?? SO funny. Continue to enjoy and relay your experiences. You have a very appreciative audience here. And yes, the baby is gorgeous!!XXXX
'Elf and Safety Haha, your comment reminded me: we saw a poster advertising the bamboo train in Battambang, which proudly announced that it "breaches EVERY US and European rail regulation" or something like that! Not sure about that but it was certainly a bit juddery! Xxx
Yummy Fod sounds........interesting, well mostly. Your breakfast sounded districtly a bad start to the day idea. Loved the porcine description. Dare I say it but reminiscent of your dear sister at the moment, with the infant Joseph attached at every opportunity it seems. Having a wonderful time here in Vancouver ( weather actually glorious both Boston and here). Looking forward to your next missives. You are both ace reporters, and we are really enjoying your blogs. Lots of love. M & D. XXXXXX
A bit of history! When I joined the RAF Changing was just one of the three bases that we had in Singapore! Oh well times have changed. You close your eyes for a minute and the Empire disappears!
Keep having fun!
Dad
Phew!!! So glad to hear that the card issue is happily resolved and that you didn't stand on the fish!!! Snorkelling sounds amazing. Can't compete with your travels, but just ending our first part of North America hols. Last night in Boston where we have enjoyed temperature of 30+ today. Tomorrow brings 2 flights and grand reunion with the Hemmings plus one!!!! Can't wait and will of course shower them with your kisses!! Two more lovely weeks before we depart back. Couldn't be happier for you that things are finally sorted. Bon voyage on the next stage of your wonderful trip. Sarah, you are a star!!! Much love to you both. M & D. XXXX
Eh??? Not sure if this was meant to be preceded by something else which hasn't appeared...? Trust you are all well, as are we. A further blog update due to be published tomorrow! Love to all, xxx
Up and away Womderful descriptions as always. Makes us feel part of your travels. Looking forward to your next phase. Enjoy your stopover and we'll hear from you in Oz. Lots of love as always. Isn't the time flying by??? XXXXX
Close shave! Poor you two. Still, you got there and in one piece. Just be grateful that you didn't turn over and snuggle down again! Imagine the realisation when you woke at 11.30 am if you had done. So all's well etc and the chilled beer sounds good. It was just fate to make sure you really enjoyed the good things - like cold beer and warm evenings. All is well. XXXX
So, an opportunity! So, no plastic models of Machu Picchu eh? This looks like a retirement opportunity for an enterprising man like me! Anything for the bees up there? I could probably make a fortune on MP Honey - call it a sting operation!
Seriously, your world sounds wonderful! Lots of love to both of you.
Dad
Boom boom Haha, very good! No bees I'm afraid, so you might need to rethink your plan...currently in Costa Rica where there are a plethora of wonderful animals, we've seen a sloth, a shark and some pretty massive lizards too. Not sure how you'd exploit them commercially, mind. Sloth milk anyone?? Trust you are both well and thanks for the comments, lots of love from both of us!
Experience by proxy Once again thank you for the wonderful descriptions you give. I really feel I have had s taste of the city and the climb. My legs ached in sympathy!! Wonderful as always. Nick - are you more streamlined or is it a camera trick?? Sarah - gorgeous as always. We have had a clan day with the Coaches, boys chief dog walkers and very good they are too. All pretty tired this evening. Looking forward very much to your next adventure. Bon voyage (or should that be flight ??? XXXX
Hols Thanks a lot!I wish, but we're not off until June 4th, then to Boston first for 5 days before we hit Vancouver. Of course we will take bucket loads of love from you. He's gorgeous now and Evie a great big sister. Continue to enjoy your wonderful trip and we'll look forward to next update. Football in the country park today with boys and dogs. Should be fun. XXXX
