Fuji Rock Festival Hello.
Come july 28th, me and my friend will be experiencing fuji rock festival for the very first time. because we have no prior experience at campsites (and it's always nice getting first-hand news),i have a few queries and i hope you'll kindly entertain them.
Was wondering how the toilet and shower (if any) facilities at the campsite are like? or are we all going back to basics like out in the open per se?
Right, there's a photo of you chilling inside the public bath, how far is it from the campsite and how much do we have to pay per entry?
Also, are there any lockers to store our personal stuff or is our tent, our only mode of storage space?
Many thanks in advance! Cheers.
Maccaus not nice neighbors I'd rather have your parents as neighbors rather than the Maccaus, even if those apes can share space with humans. Delphine and Richardare not even interested in my food. I have to admit, though, that my dog Ringo begs for treats, even from from strangers.
Beautiful photos. I will buy some if I can figure out how to, but I hope to travel to China soon. Maybe your mom is on her way to becoming a vegetarian. So much food for such a petite person.
To Kaley Wow! Your mom turned us on to your log...amazing! Both the places you're in the way you get us there with you! Looking forward to meeting Jeff. You two look great! And so happy! Love, Jeannie
thanks Wow your trip just keeps getting better and better.
Thanks for unloading the pictures. I will print them and send them to Grandpa Bert. Just yesterday he asked if you had added anything to the blog.
ohh my god!!!!!!! kaley, a few things. i can't believe how good looking your boyfriend is, you are soooo skinny and the places you have been are mind blowing. jenny
in shanghai go to the new museum of history, it's across the street from the new opera house. jenny
great trip Hi Jeff and Kaley, your hiking adventures and monastery stays sound very interesting and fun. Glad to see that you are navigating around China so well and getting to see so many beautiful and unusual sights. (We wish we were there with you). How is the weather?
love, mom and dad
Great pictures Hi Jeff and Kaley,
Glad you are having fun, learining about a different way of life, and taking the time to document it. Enjoy your travels, and I will stay tuned for new pictures so I can pretend I am with you on this journey!
It is very hot here in Florida, with alot of hurricane activity early this season. So far they are going west of us, and hopefully the rest of the summer will be the same.
Have fun,
Sue
big ups Hey guys, I didn't know you had the blog going because I never check friendster but Andy told me and I got caught up today. Looks like y'all are having a pretty awesome trip. Glad you got to see the Shaolin Monks! Say Hi to Bucket for me and Katie and get some good pictures... See you in a few more weeks.
enjoy...
Wow guys, looks like the adventure of a lifetime! Hope you're taking as many pictures as you can, we can't wait to come out and see them. After explaining to Ella what the Great Wall is, she can't wait to go walk it all. Love you, Nellie
some kinda flower? This flower looks like the carnivores pitcher plant. Did you observe this plant for any period of time? Were insects attracted to this "flower"?
nice Congrats on the results of your ultrasound. It looks like you guys are having such a great time. I'm really happy for you. Question: what is the McCafe? Is it actually operated by McD's or named similarly in the way that you can buy shirts in HK mfd. by 'adiadas' and 'poma'? I like that you can get all that knockoff stuff there. But you guys are probably travelling light since you have so much further to go (plus I seem to remember you weighing everything you took to Europe before that trip). Anyways, we missed you at the crushing yesterday. Jamal blew up a corolla this year and crushed a Mercury cougar. I got the emblem off the wreckage! And the Hoebers hosted a great BBQ on Saturday at which you were missed as well. But its cool. You are doing great things right now! Be well.
Shaolin Shadowboxing and the Wu-Tang Sword style... ...if what you say is true, the Shaolin and the Wu-Tang could be dangerous!
Jeff, you look like Gordon Liu with all those monks, except way hunkier. Anyway, this is my first visit to your travel blog and I'm only on this post so far, but it looks like you're going to have an awesome trip! I should be caught up with you in an hour or so...
Loved Hainan, too! I really loved Hainan, too. I didn't know too much about it, but stumbled upon a great (English language) travel guide that was really useful. What I found most helpful was the recommendations on what sites to go see, and what we mostly tourist traps (like you said, "packaged for tourists." I'll definitely go back again, because there's lots more I want to see that I never had a chance to.
cultural interactions I would be interested in some anecdotes that accentuate the differences and/or similarities between traveling in China, versus oh let's say Washington DC. Any interesting conversation with the locals? Wacky tales from the underbelly? Interact. These are the days of our lives.
sounds like fun Wow it sounds like you've done a lot in a short amount of time. The Jade and turquoise factory sounded pretty amazing. Glad to hear that you are all having fun. Thanks for the update of your trip.
Oh my God, your in China!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love your pics! Well, since I am the only one that did not get to meet Jeff, how do you do. I am so jealous that you are going to be there for so long. I can't wait to see you and hear stories. What are you bring back for me, Hah-Hah. We love you madly, Kerry and Deb
For both of us, it's our first time exploring China and Japan. As we depart, travel, land, reside, and generally occupy space, we hope this geeky website will allow our experiences to be connected with yours. Please write to us. Much love,
Kaley and Jeff... full info
