From Cheloklum, we went to the next beach, Haad Mae Haad and stayed there for 2 nights in a very cute little bungalow on the beach. We did lots of snorkelling and saw some amazing fish. It was like being in an aquarium!! Saw some massive really brightly coloured ones, and little purply black ones that come and swim right up to you and have a good look! It's like they were just as interested in us as we were in them!! There was massive sea cucumbers as well, they look like great big slugs, gross. Matt poked one. We finally arrived in Bangkok, the flight was looooong!! Stayed on Khao San Road for 2 nights, which is pretty overwhelming. It's very cheap here, the food is yummy, been eating loads of pad thai, it's only about 50p for a plate full. Yesterday, we got a tuk-tuk to take us round loads of temples and buddhas for a couple of hours, he charged us 10B each, that's about 20p each!! Everything is a bargain! We climbed to the top of Golden Mount where you could see all over Bangkok. Bangkok is absolutely massive. The weather is good, lovely and hot : ) We are setting off to Koh Phagnan later today for the full moon party and to spend a couple of weeks chilling on the beaches!... read more
