Colorful picture I love your picture of Ash Meadows with the fall colors. It was mostly green when we were there and the most color I got in pix was in the springs. Really pretty.
Redwoods & Yosemite Thanks, once again, for sharing your experiences and photos w/us. It's like a mini travelogue for me, since I've never traveled through the Redwoods or Yosemite, even though I lived in California the last half of my childhood, for 9 years. It sounds as if you don't get too many stays at Thousand Trails anymore. Happy, healthy travels!
Oregon Coast Summer I enjoyed the blog reading and got a chuckle out of the crab charter. Sorry about all the sick folks and the rough seas that day. I think I would have been sick. Love the Oregon coast- enjoy. <3 We just parked at Lake of the Springs in I-3 for 21 days. It is on top, nice air up here, service (it is a bit touchy, but I grabbed it going by), an open site and should not be smokey. Bruce says he will hike down the hill to pitch shoes for practice- hmmmmm. That will be a stiff climb back up- not for me. I would drive. :-)
What Goes Around Well, we see your back where we first met, in Custer country. Sandy and I are in New York. We will take a tour of NYC tomorrow and West Point on Sunday. From there we are heading for Cape Cod then tour Boston for a week. We will then head to Maine and see where we go from there. Best to both of you.
Thanks, Guys! Again, thanks for sharing your RV travel experiences. The pickleball tournament sounded exciting. We've been playing pretty regularly here at Whitney, since the weather has been decent, 2-3 days/wk. And Ellen Dyer has been here since January, which has helped. She's like our PB instructor, has helped teach a lot of us, including me. It would be fun to be able to have tournaments in our area, or somewhere in Texas. Sounds as if you two are enjoying life--good for you!
Steve Darr Hi Karen,
Steve and his wife Judy now live in Goodyear, Az. They have been living there for a couple of years.
Always nice to see your blogs. Keep them coming.
Bill
So glad to hear that Tom is doing well and back out on the golf course. Always look forward to reading your updates, and it sounds like you are truly enjoying yourselves. Stay healthy and enjoy! Hopefully we will see you guys again one day here in sunny Florida.
Springtime Great to hear that you are both well and Tom is feeling better. I used to watch the Cleveland Indians when I was a kid. At that time their winter training was in Tucson. Brings back fun memories. Glad they are still in Arizona. Love to see your pictures. Safe Travels and May God Bless.
Awesome Pictures Hi Karen and Tom,
Great hearing from you and thanks for sharing the pictures. The pottery, blankets and jewelry is absolutely beautiful. Even though I don't own any, everytime I see the turquoise jewelry it brings back memories when I was a kid there. I pray that God brings his healing power to Tom for his lung disease.
May God Bless,
Joannie
Turquoise I have a pair of earrings made by the Zuni Indians. Other than that I don't have any turquoise either. Thanks for keeping Tom in your prayers Joannie.
Will miss you at Casa Grand Sorry to hear about Toms health issues, we will be in CG 2 weeks in Jan and the month of Feb, perhaps all will be well by then I hope. I can't imagine you needing lessons but I bet it is fun. Got another beagle this spring, another challenge. Merry Christmas and get well soon, Gene
Merry Christmas and Happy 2014! Looks like a beautiful "winter" spot for snowbirds. Your photos, especially of the flower and the sunrise, look like ones you could submit for publication. Can't believe you would need pickleball lessons, Karen, but I guess there's always room for improvement. Enjoy your time in the sunny Southwest. And best wishes to you, Tom, on your rehab/healing.
Merry Christmas to Both of You Please give Tom our best ..........hope that "doc" gets him feeling better real soon. In the meantime practice pickleball real hard - and give him some good competition when he's back on the courts. Of course we always wish you were back here in Florida - but we do hope that you have the very best holiday. Not sure if you know that Rich and I sold our RV and bought a home on Lake June, here in Lake Placid Florida. Hope you'll visit our Blog and check it out. www.floridapicklers.blogspot.com
Merry Christmas and a Very Happy New Year.
Rich and Donna
Your Blog Yes we follow your blog and can't believe you traded in pickleball for fishing. Guess it goes to say so much fun to have and so many choices! Congrats on your new home.
So cute !!!!!! Hi Karen and Tom; Thanks for the update. So glad to hear you had a good winter. Love the goats lying on the verandah in the sun. Look forward to seeing you in a few months. Love Nan~
Missing you guys We are in a holding pattern near Phoenix right now and hoping to meet up with ya'll in Casa Grande after the holidays. Just can't commit yet. Happy holidays!
We became full-time RV'ers when I retired March 1, 2006. We started on the East coast of the U.S. and arrived on the West coast in 2009. We are traveling the U.S. to sights we've never seen before! Adventure-bound to National Parks. and beaches with stop-offs to visit friends and family. ... full info
