I was born in Port Elizabeth, South Africa on June 2, 1970, and emigrated from there to the US in March, 1983 with my parents and 2 sisters.
On June 9, 1979, however, my family embarked on an adventure that changed my world--we took a 7-week trip to England, the US, Canada, and Germany. I was fascinated by the way people lived in other places. I enjoyed new taste sensations(humbugs and Dr Pepper) and sights beyond my imaginings (fireworks on the 4th of July, that field of roses in Germany). I still love to travel... full info
