I don't believe it................................. Where has that year gone? Despite the doom and gloom and bad weather here the months have flown by and its been great to read and see your udates from the far flung corners of the globe. What are we going to do without our little bits of sunshine?
As you would expect, nothing has changed here! Looking forward to seeing you guys when you are back - Daren, Happy Birthday for next week. Jxx
Ropes Mr Smith, I note with interest that your white water rafting was less eventful than the trip we shared at Vic Falls. Must admit that I'm glad to hear that there were no idiots on this trip trying to strangle you with the saftey rope whilst you tried desperately to get back into the raft - oh well maybe next time.
Look after yourself and give Mrs Bear a hug from me.

Dunya! Dunya! News!!!, Tennis is over - England (Scotland) out, Football - England not in it!!........I am sure you did not want to know about this.. The weather not as good as where you are by the looks of things. Half the Journey? seems like a life time for us. Lot of dead badgers in Kingswood.
Update right back atcha... ... 'cos I know you'll be gagging for news from back home. *scratches head* Hmmmmmmmmm. There must be something...... *stares out of window* Well; if I was desperate, I could tell you I'm just about the only person left in South London that hasn't been stabbed so far this year, and tomorrow's Wednesday Night Golf Club has been postponed because of a Severe Weather Warning and the imminent prospect of high winds and 2 inches of rain in the locality. But I can't be that desperate - surely there's something I can tell to rival your adventures..... I did see a dead something-or-other by the side of the M2 this morning that looked suspiciously like a Badger - there, how exciting's that?
Life Mr & Mrs Bear - Now I know that you've been travelling for a while, however sitting on Yorkie's Knob and having a 20 minute dive is just too much information, next you'll be telling us that you're relaxing on Bruce's Deck. Just so you know it looks like our summer has come and gone already - nothing new there then. Look after yourselves and keep the blogs coming.
Change in appearance Aloha from Hawaii D & T...looks as though you folks have lost a bit of weight since you left Fiji but also having a bang up time.. Keep having fun..just back fm Fj for a month stay...things are well and the same..hold tight to the baggage...Carrie says hullo..cheers to ya.

A celebrity writer in the making, me thinks..... Mr D, when the world of travel, blues skys, beaches, fab scenery, strange animals and somewhat stranger people becomes the norm, I'm sure you can write a book! You have a me smiling from ear to ear everytime I read your updates (and it feels like I'm not missing TT tooooooo much! Take care Jo xx
P.S - TT, surely you should be having apple or cranberry sauce with that magic lasagne? or maybe just push the boat out with an egg!!!
Wotcha Hello D2 & Bear.
Just a quick note to let you know that back in the UK we're having our Summer today - and very lovely it is too - some mentalist on the radio this morning was talking about 25 degrees by mid-afternoon. Imagine that. I'm going to leave work early and spend an hour and a half sweltering on the motorway to really make the most of it.
Yeah; you think about that whilst you're deep sea fishing and living on the beach for a month.
Suckers.
Magnificent Best blog entry so far - most amusing.
"a certain nihilistic beauty in its seemingly everlasting nothingness" - Daren - keep that standard up mate and you could achieve a lifetime ambition when you return and write lyrics for the Manics
No body surfing please Puzzling world looks absolutely fantastic though. How can a place like Wanaka pop 253 probably, have something we just don't have. Must make up for the lack of Friday quizzes.
On your last leg (not figurativly !) You've done all that the South Island offers so far, but wait, there's more !! For instance, Lake Wakatipu (Fokertipu) Queenstown is beautiful at this time of year with the trees at the lake's edge turning yellow with the approaching Autumn, the snow capped mountains as a backdrop. You can walk up Queenstown Hill before breakfast as the sun is rising, for a better view. If you would like a challenge, climb up Ben Lomand for an even better view. A three hour trip, each way. Love to you both, take care. Brian and Rosemary.
Beautiful photos- thank you for sharing them Hi there. Of all the photos in your blogs, these are my favourites - lovely, lovely. All ok here. Want some aniseed balls sending your way? No? Alright then, I'll eat your share! Glad it's going so brilliantly. Take care. Nicky
Wow! Hi guys, Just read your blog. Sounds as if New Zealand is beautiful and the pictures are testament to that. Tina you are so brown I am really scared about meeting up with you in Melbourne as I look so pale!!!
Anyway just wanted to say hi and will email again next week. No baby news from Rach yet she is due 2 weeks today.
Love La's x
Congrat's on your intrepid journey. Great to see you did the Tongariro Crossing and experienced the changeable NZ weather. When you tackle Mt. Cook in the South Island suggest you take the right equipment and preferably have a qualified guide, we loose quite a few Tourists each year on Mt Cook. Great pic's, keep them comiing. Love from your Antipodean Uncle and Aunt.
Happy New Year to you both, although I think you both need a wash as you look dirty....it is not a tan...England is great it rains alot. The weather looks fab there - keep the blogs coming. Wendie.xx
What a lucky pair! Sounds fantastic. I'm getting increasingly jealous every time I read your blog. Think I'll have to persuade Mr Gray that travelling with babies could work. I spend my days up to my elbows in nappies and dribble (although that's not a complaint). Keep having fun and just think of everyone stuck here with the wind and rain. XXX
Happy New Years Sounds like you're having a great time. Loved the picture of the packet of fags - good trick to use the spider as perspective.
I was in Denmark for Xmas and New Years Eve, no lost luggage, small childrens clothing or dog pee (alas) but It sounds like we all had a good share of fish and fireworks.
Happy New Year! T and Daren,
Just got back into work after 2 weeks off and got your blogs - Tina how brown are you already!!! The pictures are great and the commentary very well written - sounds like you are having a once in a lifetime experience and are making the most of it!
Will email properly when I have more time but in the meantime enjoy. Love to you both La's x
Blimey, the size of that spider! Looks like your having a fantastic time, you lucky devils. However, if I had a seen a spider that big I'd be on the next plane back home!
Happy travels & New Year.
Love
Jane
