Hola Brian Hola Brian. Como estas? He leido tu blog hoy y ahora tengo preguntas para ti... en ingles.
You didn't say what kind of school this is, is it public or private. I was just wondering if the students in public schools are a little more unruly than they would be in private. How many students do you have in each class? Do you get any holiday break, like Easter, for a full week to give you travel time? Sounds like you're having a very good learning experience while there. We hope you continue to find this a "teaching" or learning experience. I'm typing this in Tio Neils office and he also says hi, or hola! Take care and espero leer mas de tu trabajo en Chile.
Hey!! Hey! I am glad to hear you are having fun! I am jealous of your 2 lessons a week! I am sure it is a different experience, but I'm sure the students will enjoy learning English from you! I love watching your pictures go up on fb and here! keep them coming!! :)

When life hands you lemons make some lemonade Congratulations on your decision to travel the west. We are sorry to hear about your unexpected employment status but things happen for a reason. You are supposed to have this experience-- relax, enjoy and let it unfold. If you get to Santa Rosa, CA (just north of San Francisco) send us a note and we'd be happy to buy you dinner. Maybe you should look at an overseas teaching job. There are many bloggers who are teaching overseas and could give you information.
hi there this set of blogs is getting me all excited for my upcoming trip to South Africa. i should be busy in the next few days. in fact, ive been writing down food tips (now you know where my interests lie) esp when we get to 12 Apostles Hotel. Nice. Thanks for the tips!

Hi Brian,
It sounds like you and your dad are having a great time. By the way say hi for me. I just wanted to let you know someone is reading your blogs besides your mother and enjoying them. It's nice how I can travel all over with you and never leave my house. I'll look forward to your next posting.

Roadtrip Hey Brian, hope you enjoy your trip. I also found PA very boring to drive through. Have you seen any thunderstorms, they were pretty wild out there especially in Illinois. Hope you are having fun.
Response I don't think anything about Thailand met my original expectations . But when you are traveling to a different part of the world for the first time, how can you know what to expect? You will always have expectations or ideas of what the area will be like, but unless you've been somewhere before you can never truly know what the place is going to be like. Perhaps instead of saying that Thailand was different than I expected, I should have said it was different from anything I had ever experienced before. I think it's nearly impossible to travel somewhere new and not have expectations of what it's going to be like. But it isn't a bad thing that Thailand was different from what I may have expected. It was just different and unfortunately there's no way for me to convey what I had originally thought it might be like because since I had never been there before, my expectations were not based upon anything other than imaginations in my head.
You can run but Sodexho will find you! Haha I love that Sodexho's in Thailand. Hey man Sodexho is good eats. Do they do Thai as well as they do American here on campus? Glad you're starting to feel better man.
i'm sorry to hear about the homesickness. but the school sounds good! and it's nice to have a solid schedule for what you are going to be working on. i think it's also nice to have different experiences to be able to compare the two and learn more about yourself
the school that you are at sounds really interesting. i'm hope this experience is really enriching and provides you with a nice comparison for your student teaching back in the states
same thing happened in costa rica. bronchitis and colitis right after i got there. i suppose its new germs and maybe some stress mixed together that does it
i really liked it when i went to the grand palace! some of the buildings were so intricate in their design and decor, it was definitely an awesome experience. we also liked the melding of two styles there, as parts were traditional and others were more modern. pretty nice.
glad to see things are going well and you are getting comfortable in the city. i know i've said it a bunch of times already, but i really really enjoy reading your blog! it's great, as are the pictures =)
