playa del Carmen Mexico

I just returned home from the most Amazing Holiday of my life Playa del carmen Mexico,We stayed at the most beautiful place ever ,The very unique and peaceful energy of The Blue Dragonfly Condos , We had been recommended them from a friend from Holland that had stayed there the year before,They are just Adorable, really great décor and uplifting messages on the walls and in the unique gold coffee tables, beautiful blue mosiac bathrooms,very clean & safe Extremely reasonable price only $800usd for all 3 of us for the week, and in a great location close to the beach and some wonderful restaurants close by in the area the locals call Little Italy ( The newer part of Playa del carmen) we went for breakfast most days at The Cuavo de Chango mayan restaurant (the Monkey Cave) which is situated close by on 38th Calle between the 5th ave and the Beach, its a Magical Mayan Garden Restaurant that serve mostly healthy food and great fresh fruit smoothies and hot spicy chai,and healthy style mexican/mayan food although the service is a little slow the atmosphere and peacefulness make up for it.
We also rented a taxi to take us to a beautiful cenote called The Garden of Eden (El Jardin Del Eden) about 15/20 mins drive along the Mayan Riviera toward Tulum , it really looked just like you would imagine The Garden of Eden to look , clean crystal clear spring water that made your skin feel wonderful,underwater caves that you can just swim, cave dive or jump in with the playing laughing mayan children from the high rocks splashing into the cool spring water, so many pretty tropicle birds and different types of colourful dragonfly's and iguanas and cat fish as well as other fresh water fish i have never seen before it was a Magical day to remember ,and our local taxi driver picked us back up at the end of the day and charged us only $400 pesos for all of us there and back ,much cheaper than the more commercial tours that run as much as $120 usd per person to some of the attractions like Xcaret.
Another very fun and liberating thing that we did was on Friday evenings at The Indigo Bar on the beach and calle 14 that hold The Groove Method free of charge which is a Dance session that anybody of any age can join in under the moon and stars and get your feet in the sand and Dance like you never danced before instruction given by Misty Tripoli & chino Salsa We all agreed that the teacher really brought out all of your inhibitions and just had so much fun a night i will remember for ever all in all i would highly recommend Playa del carmen if you want to get away from the over priced expensive fake all inclusive hotels and the more over priced commercial tours that the average tourist go to.
