sweet potato leaves are one of my favorite vegetables i discovered in Zambia! I have decided some day I will have a farm and grow lots of sweet potatoes and eat the leaves (and we can bake with them too). xx
howdy Margaret,
Thanks for the update. Sorry to hear about your illness and I hope that it does not stay a mystery, or stay at all, for much longer. Sounds like you are doing great work with immediate and lasting impacts.
We will be thinking about you from West Virginia and hoping for a quick recovery.
Liz starts year 2 soon and Walter started his 7th grade year today. He is the goalie for the new middle school soccer team and still fiddling (Beth posted some videos on FB if you can get on that at the capital).
Again, get well!

Hello from Elkins Hi Margaret,
I hope you get to feeling better soon. I love reading about all of your adventures. You are much more brave than I will ever be! We will not get to come visit but we love to read about all that you are doing. We are sending something your way - do you still have the same address?
Take care. Love - Beth
Take care of yourself.... I know you don't like to slow down, if you have mono you will need to rest to get over it.
I love the photos of the children and of the stove. That is an impressive project to build so many of those.
We can't wait to see you in Bangkok!
nice post Nice post, Meg. It must be a good feeling to know you are having an impact. I hope the mysterious illnesses are easily and quickly cured. It is also nice to have tickets for your trip to Bangkok. We will look forward to your visit.
Love,
Dad
Hi from Sue Daube Great photos, Margaret! Your latrine looks very professional. Will your countertops have granite?! We saw Camille and her boyfriend in Park City, Utah, a couple of weeks ago. She seems happy and he appears to be a very nice guy. Hope you keep enjoying your assignment.
pee hole its probably good that there isn't any gold at the bottom of your latrine. you wouldn't want to worry about having to do your "business" over something so precious. hope vaca was fun. show lib a good time ;)
xo
Mushroom hunting Are golden mushrooms edible? Can we eat them while walking around those beautiful green hills? Lots of walking. Lots of green. And some fruit. That's all I ask for.
Your Day I'm glad that you spend a significant portion of your day eating, sleeping and talking to people. Maybe our lives are more similar than I thought!
Miss you! XO
Hola from Sue Daube Hola, Margarita! Is that what they call you over there? I was so glad to hear that you had no problems where you are from the horrible earthquake in Haiti. Those poor people.
Your blog is quite fascinating. I admire you for being comfortable living in such a primitive environment. Searching for water at bedtime is not my idea of fun. I hope you are successful in accomplishing your goals.
Love, Sue
Happy Holidays from Sue Daube! Hi, Margaret - Your mom just sent me your blog info, and I've enjoyed reading about your sojourn with the Peace Corps. The house you will be moving into looks rather rustic - I'm assuming it has no garbage disposal, central AC, or dishwasher! You may be in shock when you come back to the U.S. Enjoy your adventure, and stay healthy.
Well said Important questions you've asked--and I too hope that I can participate in the discussion and the movement toward answers while drinking sweet coffee and hanging out on porches. Can't wait to come see you in March!
