I love Heinz 57!!! He is the cutest ever! Please adopt him and bring him home. Sweetpea will understand. All of your photos and your descriptions throughout your journey have been so beautiful. Well expect the bugs. But then again they are beautiful in their own special way. Miss you guys so much!
What doesn't kill you.... Oh Meg....I"m feeling for you hon. Although I had the time of my life the 1st time I visited Thailand many years ago, over time I seemed to have left out the stories of illness and sun sickness, but your dialogue has brought back the memories of hallucinating mid-day, trapped in my tree house in Krabi as I carried on with the local rat I affectionately named Harry...I say good to get it over and done with early in your trip - you've exposed your immune system to the regional bugs and now you'll have super immunity for the rest of your trip. Hang in their babe - sound like Geoff has been an amazing nurse and you're taking it all in stride! Love you guys :)
hammocks and amphibians adventurers,
glad you found a place to relax and that you are feeling better!! enjoy the hammock, beach, sun, and payback sex with your nurse.
also try and forget what day it is (a great moment in any vacation) before you shove off to the next spot. big love to you. we are dreaming of hammocks and geckos of our own (the goofy one will be "murphy" and the pretty one will of course be named barfalatopous

So Awesome! Thoroughly enjoying your blog M & G- great pics and sounds like you're having a wonderful, relaxing adventure so far - keep it coming. The islands are so beautiful - makes me want to return again :) I too remember the days of buckets, but 13 yrs ago when I 1st visited, the local hooch was Sang Thip which had amphetamines in it...talk about crazy nights! Also vividly remember the conversation my boyfriend at the time had with me about cockroaches when I was convinced they were too big to be roaches and were harmless "beetles"...ugghh - I just got goosebumps!
Jealous!!! Hi Megs & Geoff... super jealous! Great Blog start! Who would have known you have a Thai Uncle! (Maybe you should have traded him some Pilsners for a couple of Changs?) Hope you guys have a great trip - eat lots of Pad Thai (I ate at least 1 a day!) and drink Chang until your heart's content... but be weary of the "buckets"!
Look forward to seeing a couple more blogs!
Smiles, from rainy cold BC!
