Question You sound quite positive about la Paz. Would you consider it a cool place to spend christmas? We're thinking about spending Christmas Eve an the following 4 days there. Is this too long?
thanks for the blog
Hi There. It was a long time ago that we went there, but we had a great time. Lots to do and see, and most things are open on Christmas Day so plenty to do. Not the traditional festive feel, but that may not be what you are after. Enjoy
Merry New Birthday! Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and I believe it is also someone's birthday today - so Happy Birthday too!!
Glad to see you are the ones doing the eating when in company of piranha...
Enjoy Copa... copa cabana.. !!
xx Kate & Dipo
it's January 10th Happy New Year, and a very Happy ##th Birthday James! You both look so well, and what a tan! Great to hear of your travels, but didn't appreciate the photo of the anaconda.....well, one of us didn't, but loved the teeth of the pirannha! Enjoy the next couple of months....no doubt it will go VERY fast. Take care, keep healthy, and keep blogging. All our love, Syd & Sue xx
Wicked pics guys. :-) Happy new year guys. Always great to hear all about your adventures, how will you settle in boring old OZ?! ;-)
Love the pics, they are wicked.
Take care.

Happy New Year Hey Dudes, love the photos! Looks AMAZING and brings back good memories. Sorry to hear you both suffered a bit on the journeys though:( Have fun in La Paz - remember to drink copious amounts of coco tea!! Hope you had a lovely Xmas and bought in the New Year in style -this'll definitely be one you never forget! Lots of love, The Snooze xxx (P.S. Bub due in two days! eeeek!)
Blown to bits Well done guys - I remember how tough it was. Hope the views were worth it and you weren't cursing my name too much for recommending it! Lots of love, Snooze xx
wow, that really looks amazing. stunning. will definately put the south on my list if we ever get back over there.
you will have to put on a slide show in bannockburn when you get
and also sounds like hard work, but i guess it would be lazy if you just layed on the beach for a year!
enjoy the hiking xxx
wow, looks amazing! hope you took your thermals!! at least james's face would be warm!
well we have had from 34degrees to 16degrees in one week here in melbourne...crazy!
love the pics. look forward to next one xx
Wow! So jealous! Looks like you're having an amazing time over there!
Love the photos and updates... keep 'em coming :-)
Can't wait to see you when you finally reach Sydney!
LOL xx
New drink??? Well, that is certainly a novel way to have your calcium!! Probably not a good way to get your kids to have ice-cream - just the parents - hehe! All sounds great; just not the fact you are back in a truck. Just think - it's almost over -then back to something of a normal life. Guess when that comes around you will both be screaming out for another truck to take you somewhere. Anyway, as you shiver in Patagonia, we are having some lovely sunshine - 30's +. Enjoy Megan & James, take care and looking forward to the next episode of your adventure. Love Mum & Dad
Wow Flipping Nora!!!!!
I don't know what I am more amazed about. The photographs - which are stunning, the drink and the fact that you actually drank it, your beard and how quickly it us growing this time or that you actually walked up that mountainside and slid down whilst remaining in one piece with you heart working naturally and not with artificial help!!!! We love your blogs and miss you both lots. Keep up the great writing peewee you are so entertaining to read we feel as though we are living it with you, especially your bar moments!!
Lots of love and hugs
Wow...wine! Hi Megs & James, so nice to hear of your travels, and James aren't you lucky you don't have baggage room for more shoes! It all sounds magnificent, and just wish we had kept the Pharmacists name, address & ph no. in Buenos Aires - you could have had the best accommodation ever - he actually owns the company.. Never mind you'll just have to rough it. The weather sound a bit like Australia...go over the border and sunshine or rain. Although this year you need to go west and its sunshine, everywhere else it is wet, wet, wet. We had a great trip on Indian Pacific - just got the flu but loved the train ride, food was magnificent and company was pretty good too. Take care and our love to you both. xx xx
Water wows Hey Megs & James
Look and sounds like your have a blast, amazing amounts of water, could you send some over to the West it is as dry as here.
Keep the Blogs coming, it is inspirational!
Ma & Pa bought over your Africa pics, amazing!
Take but above all, have much, much fun.

Hmmm, just slighty jealous Hey guys, Sounds like you're having an amazing time. The falls look incredible - I'm definitely going to have to get there some day! Glad to hear the Argentinian buses are living up to expectations! Enjoy the steak! Lots of love, S, T and M xxxxxx
Beard/meat James, i have just caught up with your blogs that had not been getting through to us. I have now seen the end of Africa and your arrival in South America. Rio and the Falls look more like a holiday than "travelling". suffice to say I am very envious. Today is a wet Monday in the City. Pete is fed up as the trains were late again, "leaves on the line", and he has a cold.
The Away day was good, usual stuff during the day, BIG piss up, hang over in the garden the next day. One or two people badly over clubbed the dinner/line dancing/karaoke/disco/pond swimming and it showed. Remind me never to drink port as a way of rehydrating after wearing a stetsun, a "Mykanos" neckscarf and "dancing" the night away. I gave myself a team talk before the start and managed not to ruin the karaoke. The usual suspects were up. Sharp/Tom very good as usual. Mel/Ian duet??? When will she learn?
The beard looks better this time. I'm looking forward to a bit of ZZ Top action in the next set of pix. The steaks look great too, but will even you get fed up with grilled meat and be hankering for a mushroom risotto?
Not much to report here. Pete is going to Mauritius for Christmas to see his sister in law. The family go in early December, "but he can only go for a few days due to the pressures of work". They go economy, he's in Club! He will miss the 3 days between Xmas and New Year. Good for him.
Ashes Test Matches start soon. Will you find somewhere to watch?
Good luck for the next stage of your trip. Love to Megan and look forward to the next blog. Regards Richard.
p.s. it appears by the way the blog is written, lot's of useful facts and items of interest, that Megan is in charge. Could this be true?
ok.
this. has. got. to. stop.
I was on side for the first 4 months but baaaajesus!
All looks amazing team - suck it up.
Thanks for diverting your crazy world tour via Isleworth for the wedding - it was very very very much appreciated - know the travel and organisation must have been a ball ache - so THANK YOU.
Take care dudes - when are you done? Am flying out to Sydney on 1 Jan for two weeks for another.....Wedding. Are you around? Have tickets to the ashes.....
HCx
