Hello you two, It was good to receive your e-mail which is so very interesting and so thoughtful of you to remember everyone, you certainly put lots of time and effort into your very descriptive adventures in your new Country. It makes our latest holiday seem a bit tame, however we did enjoy our touring around Northern Ireland of which we have just returned, did not really fancy going there but our son Philip invited us and off we went. Our first visit there, and have to admit that we had some pre conceived ideas about the place which were totally unfounded. It is a beautiful country with fantastic scenery around every corner lovely people and Belfast was really special with great buildings and first class shops, no army there of course any more, Such an interesting time. Do hope that you continue to enjoy your new life and keep well and happy, as we both are here in Longton. Love Dorothy & Edgar.

Brings back great memories Matt n Caz.The photos of Mount Cook, Lake Pukaki and the Shotover River Jet Boat bring back great memories of my time there, some of the best of my life. The drive from Christchurch passed Lake Pukaki to Queenstown was magical and compares to the Great Ocean Road in Melbourne, and thats saying something!!!!.You look to be having a wonderful time and wish we were back with you sharing those experiences, perhaps we will in the next couple of years, fingers crossed. Cant wait to see you both in June to Celebrate my Birthday in Style.Take care and see you soon.Keep on exploring and enjoying the best part of the world ,down under!!Howard and Kym
cottage at Great Oyster Bay Hi Matthew and Carolyn,
Saw your blog and it looks great!
Very inspiring.
My family and I are heading to Tasmania this weekend and we're wondering where that lovely cottage was you stayed at at Oyster Bay. It looks perfect.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Happy travels!
Aliey
fishing I laughed out loud at the great pic of Carolyn - half fishing half reading a magazine - well done Caz get your priorities right - one for the girls!!!!! Love your blog its it great. lots of love Clare x
a life on the ocean wave!!! I wish winters we had winters like yours!!! We have just arrived back from florida, phew it was hot there, but had a great time, we went on the swamp boats, ( bit different to sailing the ocean) but what fun they are, we sat on the front of the boat and ended up with punk hairstyles! Speak to you soon, hope the birthday went well. love to you both. xx
Forget Moreton... what about Keswick!! Hi guys, sounds like you had a lovely day on the ocean! Whilst you were sunbathing/fishing and drinking beers, Matt and I were doing our Keswick triathlon in the good old British summer time temperatures - ten degrees! Had to get a helping hand from physio Adrian Wakefield as my legs were so cold I totally cramped up on the run... but I made it and lessons learned... is there a Brisbane triathalon? and more importantly would you enter??? :-)
Will email soon - P.S. HAPPY BIRTHDAY :-)
Ahoy there! Hi guys,
Been reading your blogs and really wishing we were there! Are you sure you aren't getting commission from the Australian Tourist Board? It looks fantastic and Matt and I are wondering why we did not decide to emigrate too! The house looks great so hope you will be able to settle in to some kind of normality soon, albeit a 30-degree, 7 days-a-week sunshine, beaches and bbq 365 days-a-year normality!! Is anybody else thinking what we are thinking???
All our love Ang and Matt xxx
P.S. Sent you a private message (so people don't have to read my extended ramblings) so hope you get that too.
hi you two. As we have seen the aussie weather is fab and you seem to be living life to the full. Glad you are both well and enjoying Brisbane. All well at our end will write again soon.
Love and hugs
L and C
missing you Hi guys it is so nice to hear from you both. Im glad that you are spending some quality time together you deserve it. It is bizzare that we seem to kep in touch more now that you are thousands of miles away than what we did whe you were round the corner.
How bizare that you are hopefully moving to Indrepilly or however you spell it. That is where Andrew and Bernadette Gillis live. They lived next to Howard when Andy worked for the Police over here. Andy is a Sgt at Indrepilly station so if you need police advice or just another person to say hi to then call in and say hi. You never know when you may need his assistance! They are the people that we stayed with when we visited Brisbane. he is a big rugby and golf fan Mathew if you need a playmate. .Also Carolyn Berni worked in the estate agency business as a manager so may have some contacts.
We are so jealous of the lovely photos. we are saving like mad to get out there to be with you guys in the new year of 2009/10 so reserve the rooms for us and maybe steve and von.
Anyway take care and love to all
we are missing you loads

you lucky people in the sun!!! You certainly seem to be getting into the life style, those beaches are so inviting. I like the car, just get your home sorted and you will really feel settled. What a name for your town, sounds a bit different to Chorley!!! Still busy here, no news yet from spain but keeping our fingers crossed for connection soon. Good luck with the studies, it sounds a lot of hard work but Im sure will be worth it. Your making your dreams come true, best of luck to you both. lots of love ruth and grant. xx

That was quick! What a surprise! We were just planning to contact you at your new home to invite you round to our half-renovated cottage. You definitely look the part in your photographs. At least this now gives us the impetus to visit Australia sooner rather than later. Ronnie is now retired and project managing the cottage renovation. We've had a rewire and re plastered walls; beams cleaned and waxed; new floors upstairs and downstairs; new kitchen and bathroom; wood burning stove fitted into the opened up inglenook. Finally got planning permission to demolish existing downstairs bedroom and rebuild with pitched roof, and pitch roof to kitchen extension but this won't start till end of May. Its been really tiring but also really exciting. New oak windows are being fitted this week, provided the storms blow over. Will send some photies soon. Any way keep in touch and we wish you both the best of luck in your new life adventure. Take Care.
glad to hear from you Hi Guys it is so nice to hear from you. We are so jealous. Not about you having to work hard but because we wish we were out there basking in the sunshine. Things are going great here. It was my first day in the new job today. Things went well but i am having a hand over period so things will get difficult when my predesessor leaves!!!!. I tried to arrange a girly night for this Thursday but a few of the girls couldnt make it so i will have to try and sort it for a day in the future. It s Sues birthday over the Easter weekend so she was going to try to arrange a night out. Anyway take care and love to all Howie and Jules
