Memories :) Your pictures are bringing back lots of fond memories. I even remember that mini-bus! I think you were at the same hotel in Nanjing. Was there a market at the track across the street? Keep the pictures coming. I am really enjoying your blog. Give my best regards to Dr. Hua.
Rock on! Remember my advice from traveling with students and Scouts: never pass up an opportunity to sleep, eat or go to the bathroom. It sounds fab...soak it up, my girl.
What a First Day! Considering you were on a plane for the majority of the time you had quite the action packed day. While I can imagine that your picture of Siberia does not do the landscape justice, it is amazing none the less. Oli and I miss you like crazy and hope you have a fun day around the city. Take lots of pictures but remember to slow down enough to enjoy the moment. Love you TONS!
Looking forward to folllowing your trip Mariah - we are going to follow your trip from my classroom. You will need to come in and visit when you return.
Read you loud and clear Good luck, Mariah and remember the secret to international dining is do not ask what you are eating until after it has been digested. :)
You are so cool! Hey, Mariah! I am so glad that you are doing this. It will be fun to continue to live vicariously through my kids...and China! It will be astonishing...I think there is no way to prepare for it. Just soak it up, and don't eat the monkey brains...just a tip!
Hugs,
Peggy
Yao! Mariah - have a great time and look forward to your posts. Don't worry, I'll take care of you husband. I am sure much golf and football will be had so that he'll have something to do besides missing you!
I am a PhD candidate at Purdue University and I am traveling to China with the NSF funded GK12 program. Starting in Nanjing/Wuxi to observe and participate in their science education program then to Guangzhou to do collabrative research on rice blast disease. I hope to take a few weekend trips to Shanghi and Hong Kong before returning home. No matter what it is going to be an adventure!!... full info
