COPPER QUEEN HOTEL
it's one of my favorite places to stay---love the lobby. Our daughter and son in law were married in Bisbee by a local Justice of the Peace, it was one of the nices ceremonies we ever heard. If no one has not gone thru the mine you really need to. have a great day!

Thanks for the good times!
Thanks for sharing your adventures with me! I almost felt I was along for the ride rather than the 109 degrees I was experiencing. Overall, it sounds as a good time was had by all! Gloria

We had stop at Four Points coming back from Co. many years ago on one of our road trips. Never forget how bare it was out there and we had lunch there. We made tuna sandwiches and they dried out before we could eat them. It was so hot there and we saw all these Indian ladies dressed in full gard and thought how can they live like this. I need my swamp cooler! Linda

Lake Powell
You know, I have photographs of that valley before they flooded it to make Lake Powell. My Dad and John made a horse back trip up to rainbow bridge when John was only 10 years old. Amazing to see your pictures and compare them to what Dad shot all those years ago. Glad you're enjoying your trip!

SQUIRRELS
when my husband and I were doing a road trip up in Northern Ca, we were at this one zoo, we got there a little early and we were sitting at a picnic table and all these black squirres were around and we started feeding them the orange cheetos and before you knew it they all had orange smiles! It was the funniest thing to see. If you get a chance go thru the painted desert--it really is beautiful at the end of the day. I really enjoy ready your blog---love those road trips

Slide Rock
I remember we all wore old shorts over our bathing suits to protect the suits. I don't think the shorts ever were the same color again. After having my own pool at 84* I don't think I could get in at 65* You guys enjoy!

Slide Rock
I love slide rock, haven't been there in years. I love watching the movie "Broken Arrow" which featured the slide. I'm looking for trips for next year. Saw Holland American cruise for South America around the Horn in Jan. They also have Rome for 10 or 20 Days. Let us know if you're interested.

Cottonwood
Enjoy the drive to Cottonwood, especially once you pass the heavy road construction! There are several interesting spots to explore in the area. I would recommend my favorite jewelry shop in Cottonwood; however, the shop was forced to close last year. May you enjoy your entire road trip and time away from Tucson/Oro Valley. I am looking forward to learning about the new adventures ya'll encounter! Until then, I'll be hanging out in the heat ... Gloria
