awesome pictures With all the (not requested) advice I forgot to say the pictures in your blog are awesome. I loved the autumn one..., the shades of brown are absolutely amazing. I am going to use it in my MSN if you do not mind. I also enjoyed the winter wonderland picture. You really have that something special to take beautifull pics ( Sorry for my english , I am portuguese)
keep yourself save. Please be carefull . Believe it or not I kee telling my friends they should avoid far off countries . I told them about many examples of britts that were reckless and paid the ultimate price . I remember a 50 year old tourist that went to travel to south america and was kidnapped in ecuador. Recently in Goa 2 tourists were raped and one of them Killed ( A gorgeous girl called Scarlett Keeling ). Try to play safe. I know my comment might not be quite welcomed but i really feel what i say. There is a world wide conspiracy to hide such cases from the public. The travel Industry and Governments hide such information from the public since tourism is a source of income. I clearly remember the case of the 50 year british nurse that went alone to travel throughout south america and dissapeared in Los Banos, in Ecuador but I cant find the story in google. The scarlett Keeling Case is still easy to find.
After MUCH reasearch I was able to find her case. She is called Jenny Pope and dissapeared in Ecuador . Be carefull please. I am portuguese and portuguese are known to be friendly towards tourists. Some do care about other ppl.
Wow hey babe... your adventures sound amazing... im enjoying keeping up with you on your travel blog, you definately have a nak for travel writing!! (maybe your next job huh?)

Escape from the crazy Priest! What a great (and somewhat tormenting!) story! I wish I'd known you'd be in Thessaloniki, as one of my dearest and most treasured soul sisters lives in Thessaloniki! She would have lurved to have 'napped you from the wicked priest and shown you her city! Next tie you're there (if there is anext time!) let me know, so I can rally Elmina, the entertainment and accomodation queen!
love the blogs btw...more photos of you in the next one, yeh?!
Thinking of you!
Christabelle
Hello Darling !! WOW !!
Your life is soooo coool, what fun !! I think life is pretty damn good babe. keep doing it, I love the updates !!
Just about to leave for Marrakesh, its warm and balmy and I want to be there now... sigh... only a few hours and ahhhhh !!!
I shall see if I can do this blog thing when I return and drop some info and piccies for you, Big london love and hugs, Kal xxxx
Romanian update Hey Sarah! Yes, Tegan (previously known as Sarah) the pup was kidnapped - this American volunteer took her into her room and wouldn't let her out and begged Andrea (the Romanian volunteer who was going to take her) to let her take her back to America for a "better life"(even showing her photos of her mansion and everything!)...poor Andrea didn't want to cause a fuss so agreed to it under duress - I really felt sorry for her. Will say BUNA to everyone for you! We miss you too! Am now the only volunteer left so its rather quiet now :-( Thanks for helping out on the postcard thing for the newsletter! Cheers, M x
Thongs...(flipflops, jandels etc) Yep baby, am buying me a pair as soon as I am home - they are awesomely comfy! Then I will be able to call myself an Aussie :-)
Counting my blessings I know! Its the most frustrating thing when you cant speak the language (am currently trying to finish my Greek blog which is where I really felt it really badly as no-one I was with spoke English fluently!) but good motivation to learn their language...but as soon as you start to learn a language you realise just how many words there are - arghh!!!
Apparently too harsh on Budapest So...I have been "called" on my comments about Budapest - too harsh perhaps? Even Jen thought so...Yes, Budapest is one of the Eastern European cities that has quite a modern tram line installed (although cant say much for the metro...its almost like a trip into the twilight zone) and lots of grand palaces etc. I will admit (as I did in my blog) that any sightseeing I did WAS under duress (the hangovers hurt), which may have distorted my opinion. I don't know...I'll get back to you as am now jetting back up to Budapest for a weekend next week.
sexy thongs I can't believe you have never worn thongs!!! do you feel like you've been missing out, will you be wearing them back in Brissie when you go home? hahaha too funny, you can't call yourself an aussie :)
I feel your pain.... I know what it's like too, sometimes just wanting to watch a DVD or speak to someone in english, the little things huh.
have fun x
I miss Romania so much Oh my god I really want to see the newly decorated girls house so much, they look so delighted in the photo. Life is so much simpler in Romania and so bizzare but so fun. What happened to Tegan? Kidnapped by an American?!
I miss all the kids and everyone, send them my best wishes.
Sarah xxx
PS will sort out the postcard thing soon, will have to think of some way to properly describe the experience!
I found it hard to relax in the city and it was fairly dirty and old in a not-as-charming-as-other-Eastern-European-cities kind of way. ... May be but its much more interesting then the others, for sure
Living a dream...released myself from the burden of a mortgage, loving parentals accepted keeping the rest of my "stuff" for an indeterminate period of time, farewell cards from good friends for me to re-read when needed and a return ticket that doesn't have to be used until next year (or does it???).
Acutely aware of my ability to create whatever reality I want, will be interesting to see where this adventure will end up! Glad to have you along for the ride.
Love M x
