The beginning of your adventure Moose,
The description of everything was great, like we are right there with you. The journal works really well, and having the chance to send you comments makes it a fun way to keep in touch. Enjoy meeting your host family, and the start of the semester.
Love,
Dad
Sounds like a good start Maggie the adventurer I look forward to following your blog. Harry and Carl will too once they emerge from their summer at Dudley. Mary Alice leaves for camp tomorrow so I will keep her updated by email. Thanks for sharing your travels with us. Take care.
From sunny and very warm Bainbridge Island Please send my warmest regards to the members of your host family. They sound vibrant and busy - and very welcoming. Thanks for the great first blog!
Thank you and good luck Thanks for sharing your adventure with your friends. Your host family sounds terrific. I'm going to share your blog with a friend and co-worker who lives here on BI (Wanda Schulze) because her family is going to be hosting a High school student from Argentina (suburbs of Bueno Aires, I understand). It's through the AFS exchange program. The "extras" on Argentinian geography and other statistics were also very educational. Keep this up, please. Wishing you a terrific time , but don't ever forget Ometepe, OK????
Can't wait Hi Moose,
This blog thing works really well, I even got an email letting me know that you had made an entry. I guess I am pretty low tech so I am impressed by small things. I have always been fascinated by South America and Argentina in particular. I look forward to following your experience. What a wonderful introduction to your host family, they sound great. I envy you your coming months, stay safe, adios :-)
namaste mi amiga (from Mal) Mags,
From India to South America....I wish you the best on your adventure! I am so glad you're going, you already know this, but I truly feel that these experiences are the most amazing opportunities for growth, fun, and challenges....I can't wait to follow your stories! I'm in India for another month and a half or so. The Monsoon finally hit so temperatures are a little more bearable. Anyways, stay in touch and share your huge heart with the rest of the world!
Lots of love
Mal
I started this blog to keep my family and friends in the loop as I embarked on my travels abroad to Buenos Aires, Argentina, and San Cristobal de las Casas, Mexico and Ometepe Island, Nicaragua.
Now, I invite you to follow the most challenging adventure of my life: being a first-year Teach For America teacher in Denver.
I have taught in many different settings (basic spanish to 6th graders in Claremont, basic english to day laborers in Seattle, basic english to friends in Nicaragua, photography to orphans in Mexico, et... full info
