Thanks for giving us your blog! Maggie - muchas gracias por sus palabras! It's always fascinating to hear how similar or different places are. We had Thanksgiving in a deluge yesterday and thought of you and the others we couldn't be with. Buen suerte en tus viajes!
Travel writer You have a future as a travel writer for Lonely Planet. All the little details of Life in Buenos Aires are creative and fun. I will miss you on your first Thanksgiving away from home, and you will be in my thoughts. Enjoy your last month in Argentina.
Love,
Dad
Thanks on Thanksgiving Hi Maggie,
Later this week as we all sit down the to groaning table of turkey and all the fixings, I will say thanks for having a daughter who is a global citizen, making connections in each community she travels through. Very proud of you, Miss Margie Moo!
Far Away in Buenos Aires You have seen and heard and learned so much about Argentina. I am continually amazed by your capacity to absorb new experiences and to make them your own. Hope you get a chance to craft a few more adventures before you leave that wonderful place.
Gracias por los (las?) blogs Maggie I've been catching up on your journals -- great work! It's fascinating to hear about your experiences. As for ideas for future entries -- how about something on food, or the people you see on buses and what they do during the 8 and 20 hour rides, or similarities and differences between what you find in BA and what you find at home, in terms of day to day products and ways of doing mundane things.
Hey Maggie! Just thought I would drop you a note. I have been reading your blog, it is great that you are documenting this experience of yours in such a way. It will be awesome for you to look back and read all of your entries, you know maybe when you are on your next adventure. Well it seems as you have been having a great time, good to know you are well and I wanted to say, live it to the fullest and enjoy everyday for what it is worth and everything that it brings you! - Joel
Another great blog I am really glad that you are taking the time to write about your experiences. It is fun to hear about your travels and daily life in Argentina. I hope you make it to Patagonia sometime. It is one of the great fly fishing regions on the earth, and I hope to make it there someday. It would be good to have a scout.
Mom is doing great. No more walker, almost done with the pain pills, and she is enjoying her regimen of breakfast in bed. I am even learning to cook. Tonight was roast chicken with herb gravy, mashed potatoes, and haricots vert (French for green beans - it sounds more gourmet).
Love,
Dad
Dancing through the southland Maggie,
I love your blog...your comments are such a great mix of culture and personal impact! Argentina sounds fascinating, and I hope it stays as stimulating and interesting. Keep the travelouge coming!
Uncle Don
Jujay Jujay looks like the Sonoran Desert in Arizona, with cacti and red rocks. It must have been hard for the indigenous people to scratch out an existence in such a dry place.
Can't wait to hear about the next adventure.
Love,
Dad
I started this blog to keep my family and friends in the loop as I embarked on my travels abroad to Buenos Aires, Argentina, and San Cristobal de las Casas, Mexico and Ometepe Island, Nicaragua.
Now, I invite you to follow the most challenging adventure of my life: being a first-year Teach For America teacher in Denver.
I have taught in many different settings (basic spanish to 6th graders in Claremont, basic english to day laborers in Seattle, basic english to friends in Nicaragua, photography to orphans in Mexico, et... full info

Pictures are great
I like the pictures. Besides you write long explanations for them, so it ends up as photo journalism. Keep them coming. Love, Dad
