I didn't try i cause I get to do it for free later, but I'm regretting it now. Oh well, there will be more opportunities. My hand is still hurt but it is better. Most of the skin they stitched on ended up separating and falling off so a big chunk of it is nothing but muscle. Kinda gross. I really hurts when it gets hit or if I forcefully use my thumb without thinking, but besides that it is good. :o)
Hi
None of these people are my roommates, they are all ifsa-butler students. We didn't eat KFC but just took a pic under it. There are actually a ton of things here from the U.S. I was surprised. The sled things are called the Louge, they have wheels and you go down the course.
Why didn't I study abroad in New Zealand? Hey sister,
All the pictures you posted look like so much fun. Could you tell us which ones are your roommates? It looks like all the people with you are having tons of fun. What are those AWESOME sled things? Whatever those are I want to try them! No way they have a KFC, isn't it funny how american food is all over the world. I am hoping you didn't eat any and found a New Zealand place instead. :) Can't wait to go to this amazing looking winter play ground.
sweet!!! hey your flat is pretty sweet! especially that tv heh heh. i really like the campus! is that a soccer field i see there?! those new zealand fokes really know how to live it up!
Yes, I did do many official greetings. When we got welcomed onto the tribe we had a certain formation we had to walk in and there was singing back and forth in Maori between us and the elders, so I know some Maori songs now. There were certain things girls couldn't do, such as sit infront of the men and there were certain people that had to stand up and speak for the group but girls weren't allowed to do that. It was wierd. There were certain things that we couldn't take pictures of but I am hopefully going to get some pics from someone else soon
wahts up hey Lo, did you do some official greetings. Did they allow pictures of the village. Sounds like paradize. Hot water bottles is what everyone had to do in the old days. bye love dad
WoW Hey Sister,
Your flat looks GREAT! I can't believe your bed is larger than a twin, guess you will have to buy new sheets. On the hot water bottle thing if you wrap it up in fleece it will stay warmer through the night. That is what my roommates did in Ireland. They treated them just like little dolls. :) Dunedin looks beautiful! Hope you find somewhere to exercise, glad to hear your hand is doing better.
Yay for arriving in New Zealand :) Hey Lo :)
I'm so glad you're doing this blog so we can all keep updated on your adventures in New Zealand! I hope you have an amazing first week. So sorry I didn't get to catch up with you again before you left, but I've definitely been thinking about you a lot. Hope you are feeling well. I'm excited to hear about all the fun new things you do as a kiwi ;) Hugs!~ Megan
No worries Lo! I went to Europe five days after having surgery on my left shin, so was backpacking around on crutches while I was there. I actually got an extra seat on the plane and a wheel chair to move me through the airport:)
Trip Take lots of pictures and I can help you process the good ones. Hope your going to the Bay of Islands. I have friends that have sailed in that area. Have fun and be careful. Stod
