I went to Queenstown this weekend with a bunch of people from my program. We started off on a bus on fri afternoon and within 3 min of the bus ride the bus driver ran into the side of a building....great start to a great weekend. The bus rides are funny, the bus driver took a personal shopping stop so he could purchase a water jug. very random. On friday we fit 10 people in a 2 person room to make it cheap. It worked out really well. We ended up getting free dinner from a church open to everyone that night as well. The next day, 4th of July, many people went snowboarding but I stayed behind with a few girls because I had no gear with me. We went up the gondola, and walked around the town and trails. Queenstown is the most beautiful place I have ever been and my pictures do not do it justice. We left at 7:45 in the morning on sunday and the bus ended up popping a tire. It was a very funny ending.

Why didn't I study abroad in New Zealand?
Hey sister, All the pictures you posted look like so much fun. Could you tell us which ones are your roommates? It looks like all the people with you are having tons of fun. What are those AWESOME sled things? Whatever those are I want to try them! No way they have a KFC, isn't it funny how american food is all over the world. I am hoping you didn't eat any and found a New Zealand place instead. :) Can't wait to go to this amazing looking winter play ground.

Hi None of these people are my roommates, they are all ifsa-butler students. We didn't eat KFC but just took a pic under it. There are actually a ton of things here from the U.S. I was surprised. The sled things are called the Louge, they have wheels and you go down the course.

nice!
hey queenstown looks freakin sweet! i like the louge looks like a ton of fun. did you try it? or is your hand still hurt?

I didn't try i cause I get to do it for free later, but I'm regretting it now. Oh well, there will be more opportunities. My hand is still hurt but it is better. Most of the skin they stitched on ended up separating and falling off so a big chunk of it is nothing but muscle. Kinda gross. I really hurts when it gets hit or if I forcefully use my thumb without thinking, but besides that it is good. :o)
