Hi. From Adelaide Nice to see you have spent winter in Tonga. We are going to Thailand on Monday to get some heat as it has been cold and wet here. Hope to do som,e snorkeling and some cocktail drinking. I love your comments about Queen Salotti of Tonga, and YES I remember her as a favorite Queen.Must have been something about being friendly. Tuna worked on Tonga in 1985 so can you imagine what it was like then? He played squash when the Prince was a squash player(now the King) played and the courts were popular. Are they still they're? Best wishes to both you bunnies!
Squash Hi - lovely to hear from you! Wow - squashcouts. I will check - I actually think they are still here. No I cannot imagine 1985. Sometimes it feels like 1953 here! Have a wonderful time in Thailand - which bit??xx
Is that a Tongan pixie on Jann's head??? Loving reading about your adventures, and the logo for the TSAA is great!. Cuppa on the beach with whales sounds like a perfect Sunday. Here - we're waiting for snow. It's falling in Oberon and on its way. Late season whale- watching sounds very tempting! Lots of love to you both, Sharron xxx
Hi Lesley
Thanks for the update and apologies for being such a poor correspondent. Are the photos of the whales, ones you took? They are amazing. It sounds like you are finding ways of having a nice time despite the challenges of weather etc. I've been busy with visitors in town and getting out and about to show them the sights - many of which you introduced me to! Take care and look forward to hearing more. Merrilee xxx
Malo e leilei from Melbourne Hey L&J, Good to see you're back in the swing of things. Looks like some of those big boys have enjoyed a cream bun or two :-) I would too if I lived there! Anyway, I'm sure a good cream bun while reading the Bible can't hurt?! Keep the updates coming ..
Thanks for looking after us in Darwin. We made good use of your bus passes. The train was wonderful and of course we ate too much. Glad to hear you are settling in. Don't eat too many of the cream buns.
Hello from wimbledon Dear Les and Jan
Great to know you are settled in Tonga. Will look forward to lots of photos. We are settling into flat life and seeing a light at the end of the unpacking tunnel. Have fun. Love Liz & Michael xx
Hello from Darwin Hello Lesley & Jan, your settling in sounds comfy, and it's great to hear from you. Over last weekend I attended a few video-linked sessions to Darwin from Sydney Writers' Festival, the best attended and most inspiring was on Sunday with Bob Brown. Along his journey of life he told us of his latest book, called 'Green Nomads', describing his journey up the east coast of oz. he plans next year to tell us about the west coast. Cheers to you both
