Leaving Cusco was sad, not only because we would be leaving a city rich in history but because we would have to endure a numbing 60 hours of buses before getting back to Baños. Twisting down the mountains of Peru to the Pacific coast, through the Nazca lines, past giant sand dunes and then to Lima was a grueling 23 hour bus journey through spectacular countryside. However, in addition to the wonderful views out the window, we had to endure little girls not using the bathroom, someone using a vomit bag as a bag to urinate in and ear-popping elevation changes.
