BABIES & i hope noone else can read this message. HA HAAAAAA I have no idea where u are anymore. That sign reading "Largo Do Senado" sounds like Cuba, or Spain... haha maybe you are in Australia waiting for me...not China tho... Just wanted to give u the heads up.
When are you coming home woman? You need to find a man, get engaged, get married and have a baby to catch up to all your friends. I will meet you there never... haha BYEEEEEEEE
Poor Krysta Poor Krysta, since when did we develop a conscience? Kidding! Sounds like the train ride was pretty adventurous. I must say though, it's amazing how you can be half way across the world and then you see a sign that reminds you of home. That is pretty crazy that you got the business cards with your name on it from that store. And you just had to scare a few innocents to get them.
Packing it all in Hey Backpack Banwell, I think you did the 5 hours you had justice. Sounds like you were able to get a lot done (although I am sure you would like to have done more). Can't wait to hear it all in person at Christmas!
Portuguese-Chinese descendents? Did you see the Portuguese-Chinese Eurasian descendents (there is a terms for it, but I forget)? If yes, don't worry. You can visit Malacca in Malaysia to trace the path of Portuguese-Malay descendents......
I like Tea Hey Lady,
I can't believe you're going to all these amazing places.... so jealous... Sorry I haven't left a comment till now, but things have been crazy. I moved to my new apt, so you have somewhere to crash when you come home :) and I started my new job at the Canadian Opera Company.. yay me... so everything is faboo over here... but still jealous... but my mom is gonna be working in London... in the UK not ON :) so I may be able to actually visit you on you next journey abroad...
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I can't WAIT until Jenn reads this.
I know we're just so proud of you!!!! Careful though, fate is going to bite you in the ass for this one. I don't think it'll be serious though...the "beings that be" understand that a girl's just gotta use what her momma gave her sometimes. Got it? Work it.
Love ya sooooooo much!!! Can't wait to have you home!!!!
MUAH! B.
We are just almost ready to leave for the airport. Ted, Kym, Paul and I are off to the med. for a 12 day cruise and a couple of days in Barcelona. I am sure our adventures will be pretty tame compared to yours. Sounds like you are having a super adventure and wow, heart stopping experiences. Will look forward to your blogs when we return.
Love, Ted and Ruth
Lovely gal with lovely lencounter! Hahaha, baby! Of course lovely gal is bound to attract unnecessary attention. Anyway, you should be proud of yourself that you're the "choosen one"! What do you think he chose you and not other "white" gilrs in the train? Did you do anything to him that aroused his "desire" to possess you? Love.
There's names for girls like you!!!! I can't believe you did that! I'm glad you were able to ditch the guy so easlily! I loved Hong Kong. One of the cool things I did was take a ferry to a small island called Chung Chao, or somehting like that. There are no cars there. I rented a windsurfer and sailed in the South China Sea. And of course the tram up Victoria Peak if you haven't done that yet. Enjoy!
Amazing I'm so jealous, it sounds like you're having the experience of a lifetime. I wish I was as adventurous as you are. I'm definitely going to have to do somethig of this nature in the future, keep the adventures coming.
lovin it its sunday morning, I am at work...but will be teaching 5yr olds to swim soon!! Loving this blog Krysta, look forward to each installment...especially the photos!!! Travel well oh worldly one!!! peace
toa

Did you learn any Chinese? yeah, learning and speaking foreign language is fun! did you practise speaking Chinese with the Chinese people too? Surely, reading is not a problem for you, right? Love p/s if you miss it, you still can speak Chinese with Malaysians. Of course, Malaysian version of Chinese!

I'd say 15 camels ha-HA! 11 camels....don't you know what Krysta is worth? This comment was going to be something about your trip, but a "georgie moment" happened as I opened this window, and I'm going to share that instead.
She googled 'CVP' which is the Canadian Veterinary Pharmacopeia (drug listing for vets). Out of nowhere I hear a combination of the following words (use your imagination): "ew" "ugh" "eaaagh" "ohmygod" "holy god"
One of the results that came up was a site titled "Up my crack." Because your family reads this, I won't elaborate further. It was just a very touching Georgie moment that I knew you would appreciate.
On a more appropriate note, you just blow me away. I'm sorry it's taken me so long to reply to this, it got lost in the depths of my email inbox, and I just saw I missed it. Camels, outhouses and broken down trucks....oh my!
Love you bunches, miss you more!!
Kisses! Bex
Great Talking to you this morning! Hey Krysta! Glad you finally got to a Land Line so that I could call you again! Good to catch up with you! I will take care of the paperwork for your Pension and send it off for you asap!
Great Story and Pics! Look forward to the next Blog! We will have to talk more about my contacts in the Print (Magazine and Newspaper) business, not to mention Broadcast! Whether you publish a series of Short Stories, as discussed, or make a Mini-Series for the 'Discovery' Channel, Ted says that you should also apply as a contestant on 'The Great Race'! Talk to you soon! Lots of Love, mommy xxxoooxxx
Wow! Krysta,
I can't believe how professional your blog is! I'm very impressed. I almost accepted a job in Shanghai and your blog makes me a little sad I didn't - however, I do love Hong Kong. Hope you're having a great time in Vietnam!
cheesy cover songs KRYSTA!!
I would have loved to visit that cheesy bar, Rendevous!! I can totally see myself spanking the planks on the dance floor!! HA HA!! How odd is it that there is a french district in China!! Mind you...there is a China Town in just about everywhere else!!
It is cool that you are trying to keep an open mind, but some places are shit now matter how hard you try to respect it!! It's kind of like people...no matter how hard you try, you can't love everyone!! If you do...you are kidding yourself!!
I love your pictures, they are hilarious and interesting at the same time (it is possible). As neat as the museum photos are...nothing beats you on a camel!!
Love,
me
URGENT...but not really....
Nice blog Kryst... but suggestion for your email writing... don't make an email subject "urgent" when you are traveling 3rd world/ war torn countries ( and only communicating to your family once a week via blog)!!!! For all I know you could have been bitten by a deadly snake/ spider/rat/Chinese beast, abducted, sold into the sex slavery ( or worse lost your one pair of flips flops you have been carting around!) hahaha omgggg I am ridic. but seriously, don't do that! bye for now. xoxo
Hey Chee! I'm still in HK until tomorrow! I know of one HC member here but he's in Thailand at the moment and I have a friend who lives here anyways, so no biggie! I'm looking forward to seeing you in KL! Ciao!
I've finally finished my big Asian trip and have about 9 blogs left to write. So far I've covered Japan, Mongolia, China, Hong Kong, Macau, Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia, but stay tuned for Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, more Japan and London!
I'm just getting settled back into life in Canada now, so wait patiently for the last few blogs. Especially Myanmar...that was quite an 'interesting' couple weeks...
