Currently at Changi airport, waiting at gate for boarding to Kuala Lumpur. Landed last Saturday (the 19th), a couple of hours late from Istanbul. Checked in at the hotel in Geylang (which also turned out to be a red light district, haha) and went out for dinner at Hard Rock Cafe, just down from Orchard Road. These past days we've managed some shopping (I've never used taxis so frequently, and they've never been so cheap!) around Orchard road and Bugis Junction, we've visited both Singapore Zoo and Sentosa Island and eaten in several really good restaurants and food junctions. We also went to see Couple's Retreat and Avatar (in 3D!) at the Cinemax in Bugis. The weather's been great, not so much rain as we anticipated, but far too moisty for me to get used to. ... read more
