It looks like a very peaceful and relaxing time at LaCeiba and Trujillo! I wish I could be there. Since I didn't get to go to Honduras-like I planned!!- maybe, I will go back with you when you return for a visit someday. In the meantime, we miss you here at home and look forward to you getting back here. Love you ~ Mom
The kids always look happy in the pictures. It is a wonderful thing to see them happy and cared for. I am looking forward to seeing my happy child in a month!!!!!!
Love, Mom
looks like fun... Camping... looks like fun!!!!!!!!!! I just went camping myself over Spring Break with Ronnie (my boyfriend). We had a blast laying on a blanket, watching the stars and looking for satelights. Romantic, I know. Well I miss you SO MUCH. I'm going to visit you at some point this summer wherever you are. I love you!!!!

SOOO Happy to see a blog!!! I love the pictures. Boy, I wish I could swim in the river that the kids used for a toilet and the cows went in about 4 times a day! I can guess the cows probably used it as a toilet, too. I know you had shots for many diseases before you went there, but please-please-please think about waterborne diseases along with other communicable diseases and be smart. And, I am not sure how clean those kids got when they washed up in the river that they just used for a toilet?!!! PS-The "cow" looks like it is smiling for your picture. Miss you ~ Love, Mom
HELLO?? Nice to see your newest hogar resident. Well, it has been over two months since you put this up and we have not heard how things are going with him and the rest of the boys in your hogar or in school for that matter. Hmmm, you must be really busy not to update your blog for such a long time. I often wonder if you still look the same-it has been such a long time since I have seen you. Please put up just one picture to appease me. Then I won't bother you until June! ;-) Love you and miss you, Mom
Yep, sounds like my big brother hahaha I can see Brother Bob talking ya'lls ears off with adventerous tales and lots of knowledge. I'm glad you ate the termites it marked you as "alright" in his book!
I hope you had a great stay there.
Scott
Hey Kris.. so I was reading your blog in the library.. and um I am pretty sure some people in here think I am a pedifile (sp?). haha all the pics of little kids in bathing suits... i guess the average passer by might think it was weird. Anyway... keep writing its great to read up on how things are going... take care! :)
I love circle games Play any games of "Quack didly oh so"or "Big booty".... those were the good times at Ramapo! The little kids are so cute. It looks like they were having a ton of fun swimming. Do you get to work with these kids only for the break and then you go back to your boys?
Have fun Kristen. I love you!
PICTURES WERE GREAT ALWAYS GLAD TO SEE PICTURES. NICE TO SEE YOU IN SOME OF THEM, THAT WAY I CAN'T FORGET WHAT YOU LOOK LIKE.
EVERYTHING IS FINE HERE, WE HAD ALOT OF WATER A WEEK AGO, IT CAME OVER THE RIVER AND UP TO ABOUT 20 FEET FROM THE HOUSE. WE WERE LIKE AN ISLAND. IT ONLY TOOK THREE DAYS FOR THE WATER TO COMPLETELY DISAPPEAR.
WE REALLY MISS YOU.
SAY HI TO YOUR BOYS.
LOVE,
GRAM AND AUNT BOBBIE
Hi Kris,
I am so excited to see two blogs in one day!! The last picture of you, with the parrots reminds me of once about 15 years ago when I went to Happiness Is Pets and they had a Military macaw ( the green one)-that darned bird looked right in my eyes and said it loved me!! I begged your dad to buy it. The one you're holding looks just like the one that loved me. Thanks for keeping us posted. PLEASE keep it up! Love you, Mom
Hi Kris!!!!
I won't mention that you never called me back last week. That is so touching that Ever asked you to be his Godmother! I don't know if is maternal hormones or what, but that picture of you with Ever dancing and the other with you, Ever and Santos brought tears to my eyes. (and no, I am not depressed, nor do I have "empty nest syndrome"). I love the pictures and we miss you lots! Love, Mom
The kids must recognize what a wonderful person you are to have asked you to be their godparent. You are right that it is an honor to have someone choose you. I know I felt very honored to be asked to be a sponsor for confirmation. Those children will always have a special place in your heart!!!! I think you have to tell Maria to smile though. She does not look happy. I remember a picture from a past blog and I think it was her then too, that did not look happy. Does she need extensive dental work or something? Just kidding, but really, tell her she's a pretty girl who would look even more beautiful with a little smile. I have enjoyed the 3 blogs today....now I am patiently waiting to see Christmas pictures, along with pictures of when Sandy and the Vaneks were visiting!!!!!! I can't wait! Love, Mom
I am currently volunteering in Honduras, starting August 5th, 2007, for a year with Nuestros Pequenos Hermanos (translated in english- Our Little Brothers and Sisters). I will be doing work at an orphanage about an hour from the nation\\\'s capital, Tegucigalpa. I will try to update this whenever I can. Also, this place loves visitors, so COME VISIT!!!!... full info
