LONDON - AMSTERDAM Greetings as we were taken to St.Pancras Station where our Eurostar high-speed train journey whisked us from London to Brussels. On arrival in Brussels we went to Amsterdam where an orientation tour showed us the Mint Tower and Dam Square. Well we are less than six weeks away from our grand tour of Western Europe. We have our passports and tour gadgets and clothing. We've researched Rick Steve's book and talked to friends who've done quite a bit of traveling. We are going to do our darndest to follow Rick Steve's advice, pack light, wash often. Carrying nothing but a wheel aboard and another small bag with versatile mix and match clothing, a sweater and a rain jacket. So excited for this adventure in our lives.... read more
