Greetings from the hospital
I enjoyed your blog, Uncle Lou read it to me. I am still in the hospital unable to speak or move around much. Tomorrow I have a procedure to hopefully allow me to start the full recovery and get home. Hope you are well, love Aunt Connie and Uncle Lou, too.

Wow! What an opportunity for you! See, I always knew you'd be a great teacher! Hang in there...we all still have our moments with classes that misbehave, don't do homework, won't stay in their seats...and these are high school kids! :>) It's so great to hear of the travel adventures as well as your experiences at school. I hope you get to meet the kids/teachers from Supan Buri that came to visit us. They are great people. And you're right about smiling...they smiled all the time! I guess that's a great way to look at the world. The lantern festival must have been incredible to see. The picture itself is amazing. Take care. Keep posting. I love to read of all your adventures.

Hey
I'm go glad it's working out for you there! Some expats here have been talking about going to Thailand for their vacations - but unfortunately I'm using mine to go home for my bro's wedding. Still, I've heard the flights are pretty cheap between our two countries, so maybe it will work out to visit each other at some point!

Kelsey, This is not a good thing. How big was it? Was it the black spitting kind? Oh my gosh, please be careful, especially at night when you are walking around. Your pictures are great. Your blog is so entertaining. I really love reading about your adventures. I must get to work, but I will write more later. Love, MOM

Who will you be teaching with?
I wanted to comment on your amazing entry that shared your insecurities and fears about leaving the US to go teach abroad. I too will be leaving in three short weeks to teach in Tanzania and I just wanted to know who you will be teaching with and how long you'll be there? My job is on a volunteer basis too and I am really excited. It would be neat to chat with you about how you are preparing for this incredible journey. I am so excited! Hope to hear back from you. good luck to you
I was a teacher in Africa (Namibia) years ago from 1994-1996 and it was the best decision I ever made. Ofcourse, there were some tough times and soul-searching, but it is something I will never ever regret. You'll have an amazing time...

Good luck on your latest adventure
How I envy you as you take off on yet another of life's adventures! With your amazing talents and capabilities, your students will be so lucky to have you impact their lives. (I always thought you'd make a great teacher!) Your footprint on the world will certainly be one that is well worth making. Your mom gave me the card about the collection of supplies and cash. I'll mail you a check...should I make it out to you? Hope to give you a hug before you leave as well!
