Arrived in Toronto Safely Hey Jenn and Randy, thanks so much for everything. Keith and I will be arriving Thursday for sure. We are getting the pictures all sorted out today (Wed) hopefully (big job). It will definitely be cool to see them on the big screen. Keith will only be staying for a couple days or so, then he heads back to London.
You guys are awesome!
Ready and Waiting Absolutely guys.
I've been working on the desk in "Julie's Room" a bit while you've been away. Everything looks great. I even found a mat for the desk chair (you know those plastic mats?). Unfortunately it was in rough shape when I found it (all warped and stuff). So I've place some heavy items on it in an attempt to get it straightened out in time for your return.
I was just "reminded" ever so politely today that I have to get all the "junk" (the stuff weighing down the mat) out of your room in time for your return. lol
I'm not sure if Keith is coming back to Kingston with you... but he's obviously more than welcome... and invited. Just think... we can can most likely see all of your pics on the "big screen".
I'm not sure if you'll be able to read any of this on your trip home... but we trust that you know that everything is good.
See you soon!
Randy and Jennifer
Sounds like a great trip! Hey Julie and Keith, Kelly and I are procrastinating as we don't want to take a public bus to the south of Laos. The buses are hot and no AC. II wish we had a rental car, but I don't think it's an option here. We just read your blog to date and it's nice to hear that you have your passports and that you're back on track with your holiday. You must be in great shape with all that trekking in New Zealand and the paragliding must have been incredible. Stay safe.

Wow! Ok...so I am so jealous! YOu guys sound like you're having the time of your lives! I can't wait to see the pics. Julie, we bought dresses last week...Mel and I tried them on and we got you the size inbetween us...but I bought two different sizes just in case. I have 90 days to return them so when you get back we can see which one fits best. I have no doubt that you will love it...its totally you and cheap! Anyways, just wanted to let you know...miss youl...see you soon!
Good stuff! Hey Julie and Keith,
Phew, glad you got your passports. Paragliding, swimming with the dolphins and horseback riding- along the coast?? Sounds amazing. I'm sure you have tons of pics and videos and I look forward to hearing about EVERYTHING when you return. It's starting to get milder now....I went skiing this week...perfect weather! and Friday was a snowday--it was so awesome to have the extra time to do report cards. Well I'm heading to Ottawa tonight, take care and have fun! Oh and don't let those passports outta your sight ;)
yeah passports hey julie and keith....i was a bit worried about the whole passport thing! okay i was really worried, so i am glad that they arrived! man be glad you are down under because you are missing some really nasty weather....about an inch of ice all over everything! i am not enjoying all of this shoveling! LOL anyway i am so thrilled that you are both having such a wonderful time! Julie i have so much to tell you about GL just be glad you are not at the club right now! make sure that you bring some of that warm weather back with you! well i will write more later.....have a great day!
tips from a former almost-Kiwi Hey guys - Julie - your mom sent me your blog website address... hope that's okay :) I lived in NZ for over two years and did a tonne of travelling while I was there.... let me know if you want tips about where to hike!! Favourite one day hike in the south island was the first day of the Routeburn out of Glenorchy (near Queenstown) (on a clear day). Enjoy!!! rebeccaskvorc@hotmail.com
Been there, done that It's so awesome to hear about your trek...this was one of our favourite parts of our trip, we combined a hike with kayaking. I'm sure we ate at the restaurant that you did...as well.
Love your stories, sounds like your weather is awesome.
Did you do the Tangou(somethingorother) Crossing on the North Island.

Valentines Hey guys. I was just reading over your accumulating comments and I noticed your last one entered by Karen... ON VALENTINES DAY!!! So, I 'm just going to fill you in on how Jenn and I spent our Valentines day. The good news is that we spent the whole night together working up a sweat! Don't get the wrong idea here... it took us three hours to shovel out our driveway (a solid foot of snow). The exclamation point was the three foot drift down the centre of it! Needless to say that we slept VERY well that night!
This was the second snow fall that we got that ended up in at least one foot of snow.
Phew! Hey Guys. When I first got Mom's message about your stuff getting stolen, I thought ALL of Keith's info was stolen too...that would have sucked. At least you were able to carry on and still continue with your trip. I hope everything works out with the flights and replacement Visas. So right now (Feb.13) you guys are missing out on our big snow storm. We've gotten about 20cm already and supposed to get a whole lot more by tomorrow. I'm crossing my fingers for a snow day! Hope the weather is cooperating with you guys and you're continuing to see amzing sights! Love Karen
You can't use the word tragedy... And I thought I had a bad weekend....I'm glad you guys are having a great time or you were until your stuff was stolen, but I do have to say it occured to me that it might be more upsetting to you guys if you had the camera stolen :) But you can't use the word tragedy...I think my heart stopped when I read the title of your blog and though I am worried about you guys wandering around without passports I was very relieved to hear that you are healthy because that's what went through my mind first. Anyways, enjoy the rest of your trip and if you need any help from those of us in snowy Canada let us know! I look forward to hearing stories and seeing pics. Take care of yourselves!
yikes Hey Guys,
Sorry to hear about your stuff getting stolen, but glad you're ok. I got your email Julie, Hello from IStation, regarding your passport. It sounds like you guys have everything under control, but let me know if there's anything I can do from this end.
Take care!
Ashley

Hello From Bangkok Hey Julie and Keith! Welcome to the world of early retirement and travelling. It doesn't look like we'll cross paths on our around the world journeys, but we've heard great things about New Zealand and we've see a lot of Ausies travelling around here. They are a crazy bunch. Travel safe and good luck.
