Continued fun on your travels,

Oh gosh, finding your hostel sounded a lot like my experience, but just imagine it being on New Years Day at 0900 (I'm sure people just went to bed a couple of hours earlier) where there was no one on the street. to ask for directions. I started to go up the wrong hill too, but had seen a picture and thought it was up the other hill and luckily I was right otherwise I would've thrown my "beast" down and had a righteous hissy fit.
So much fun to read your blogs because I feel like I'm reliving my memories.
Hippies Can Be Strange No Skype allowed or sock washing? I know hippies have a hatred for wearing socks, but I didn't know it extended to washing other people's socks for a living. Strange indeed!
Bolivia I've really enjoyed hearing about your adventures in Bolivia as it's somewhere that's very recently been added to my list of places to go. The horror stories haven't put me off too much, but they do make me think for a moment how I'd handle those nightmare bus journeys! I've actually been inspired to write a blog entry of my own about the pre-travel fears and apprehensions about places we've never been before. Should be up in the next couple of days!

Spanish I took about 20 hours of Spanish lessons with a school in the city area of London. They were ok, but I´ve learnt much more by travelling here! I have just finished two weeks of private lessons in Sucre, Bolivia, and can´t recommend the school enough! Brilliant teacher and only 4 quid an hour, amazing!
Travel feet Hi Kat,
I've just started reading through your blog but I'm really enjoying it so far. And this post is just so true! I'm pining for my flip flops at the moment and miss my foot tan lines. I also miss all of that hostel/traveller small talk, with how charming yet predictable it is. Sounds like you're having fun though and getting back into the swing of things.
I'll keep reading and I'll probably find more to comment on.
Glad you liked my blog too!
Sarah xx
Tough travel is memorable travel. Experiences like this are why we travel. You will remember it with affection. If you want sanitized, there is always Adelaide or Christchurch, but any blog about those places won't be half as interesting as your Bolivia one. Its a great little story and entertaining to read.
wow...! Hi kat,
so glad to read your newest entry!! was waiting for it...;). i think its well written, the great thing is i can sorta hear your 'voice' when i read it (not in a creepy way mind!) checked out piccies of Valle de la Luna as well: gorgeous!!!
lots of love always, can't wait til your back, though i won't speed the day til your return cos i want you to enjoy/savour it as much as possible! xxx
(Belated) Merry Christmas! Hi Katrina, I hope you had a Merry Christmas yesterday. Just having a catch-up on your blog which is very enjoyable. I particularly liked description of the breakfast in Salta and the bus journeys sound pretty good as well. You seem to be having a great time - long may it continue. Careful in those museums - haha! All the best, Ross
Ah Kat reading your travel blog always makes me smile (and quietly seethe with jealously - only joking!) - glad the 'London' mentality is wearing off and you're going with the flow, that truly is awesome!
xoxox
^^ super cool stuff Kat! so excited for you - glad you moved out of the crack den - look forward to your next post
ps - i've been blogging/live-journaling for two years now so it's not uncool though somehow you do feel it's necessary to add a comedic/semi -witty aspect to it!
I am currently away on a 6 month trip to South and Central America! For those who are interested, I am writing a travel blog! For those who are not interested, bore off! x... full info
