Pictures of Mimes When I saw the pictures of the mimes at the festival, it reminded me of the mime dressed up as a Terra Cotta Warrior. It was fun to watch the reaction of the persons who thought he was a 'real' statue - then when he moved, they literally almost jumped out of their skin!
checking on you I loved the pictures. It was fortunate you were there for the big celebration in Malaga. Tonight we are going to Don Sherman's for a dinner party. He said it was casual and there was no agenda. He has been ill and I think he just wants to entertain old friends. Anita has had foot surgery so we will pick her up to go to the dinner party. Give Lucas a hug from Nana and Papa John. Give yourself one also. It makes me so happy to see you enjoying life so very much. I guess Dave will arrive soon. All our love to all.
Pictures Love seeing the sights you are seeing! Makes me want to include that country in my travels, as well. Obviously, the children are quite enjoying themselves!
Hmmmmmm.... I read your Dad's comment about 'not wishing your life away'. He heard that from Texas Grandma, as I did, many a time.
Glad your are having fun and a neat experience. Just enjoyed 2 1/2 days with Stan - trying to cool off in this horrible heat. Enjoyed Aspen and the old stompin' grounds of our ancestoral uncles. Stan is a great host/chef. Amy would not recognize the place with the growth in the last 15 years +. In a couple of weeks, we'll be off to Central Europe. Enjoy your visit and I'll look forward to your blog. Love ya!
Got the Travel Bug! This is the first opportunity to check in with your log! Looks like a fabulous time in wonderful locations....bringing out that travel bug in me. We watched the New Year 2000 in Spain....I loved those Tapas!!
Noah and Ethan miss you!! Noah and Ethan remind us daily how much they miss Lucas at school. Noah, Ethan, Kaylee, and Evan are awaiting your arrival back to the states so that they can enjoy a snack on the deck at school. We love reading your blog. Can't wait to hear more details and see more pictures when you all arrive home. Safe travels.
The Stenzlers
Have a wonderful time with your family in Spain I enjoyed the pictures on your blog. Let me know when Lucas becomes a little Spaniard and speaks fluently. We, John and I are getting much enjoyment from your blog and pictures. Love to you both.
A fine looking team! You and Karen both look great. It is so fun you were able to make it there for a visit, looks/sounds like you are having a great time.
Morocco is still on my to do list for sure! All the kids have got so big, time sure does fly!!!
Great pictures I skipped a couple of days and just checked in. The pictures are great. The kids are dear. Lucas has some competition in the "cuteness" category.

Comment on 5 day sojourn to Morocco Karla-
This sounds so cool! By the way, I'm not sure that that audience would be a good one to test food on... they'd all eat anythign!!!!
Memory Lane Hola, Karla ....... You mentioned that it has been (gasp!) TWENTY YEARS since your first trip over as a high school junior.
Do you remember my comment to you in about February of that year? You were naturally very excited, couldn't WAIT until summer when you were going over. Just like the anticipation of Christmas. I told you not to wish your life away, that it would be here before you knew it, and it would rapidly fade into the past, and even quicker into the DIM distant past.
And you kids don't think us oldies don't know anything. I know you're savoring every moment. Enjoy... enjoy. YOD
tried to call hi mom, i just tried to call you, but you may still be at the senior center. we're home from a day spent in casablanca. my friend has vonage so it's free to call the u.s. i'll try to call back before we go to dinner or afterwards. we're 6 hours ahead. sorry the webcam made your internet not work. i wonder if those are unrelated? love to you and john.
congratulations After I had the wed com placed on my computer, I can't use internet. Glad the languages are coming back to you. I am at the Senior site to get your blog. Keep up the good work. Kiss Lucas for me and John. Much love.
neat-o Hi Karla! The beach each day sounds so lovely! and all the friends you and Lucas are making. Yes, isn't that funny about kids and no need for language to communicate? I just saw TED's video on Jill Bolte Taylor and been thinking about the language center of our left hemisphere ever since, haha!!
Hey that's not bad for forgetting something (just one thing?!) for a big trip, haha :)
So glad to you are settled well. Looking forward to hearing more and seeing pics. Ana
Cool! Karla, that sounds like so much fun! Specially for Lucas. When Lori lived in Germany and had a repairman out to the house, he had finished his job. As Lori was telling him "Danka" in German, 2 year old Kelton said, "Aufiedersane" (I can't
spell it without looking it up). Lori was amazed and I was amused! Have fun, I'll be reading the blog!
We are getting away the first week of August and running away from the heat. We'll spend 3 or 4 days with Stan, then see other friends before heading back to the hot climate. Nice that Serene-Marie is getting her wish to learn accupuncture in Florida.
Have fun and be safe! Love, Aunt Marilyn
Awesome! Karla - What an amazing experience for Lucas (and you!!!). I am excited to be able to keep up with your travels! Thanks for including me on your blog!
Safe travels -
